Hi
Badger has spent the day at the vets with me today.
Despite everyone thinking it was unlikely he had leukaemia his lymphocytes have dropped further and it is now increasingly likely he does have leukaemia after all, because the tumours in his eyes aren't sufficient to cause this. I feel like swearing a lot because this is a bit of a rollercoaster ride for us all.
Some blood smears have been sent off to see whether the cells are changing shape and to do another count. We should get the results of these on Monday
The only bit of good news is that his lamness isn't anything to do with serious problems and just a simple bone spur on one of his toes.
If he has leukaemia i am now very unlikely to put him through surgery for his eyes, although he is seeing the eye specialist on saturday afternoon so hopefully we will get a definitive answer about them atleast.
Spare him a thought as i'm still in total denial and still want him to live to twenty.
