dessie said:Fab pic as usual from Louise!! Wasn't that always Leo's name??
Thats right Lana  previously owned by Mark Burton . If a dog has aquired its Stud book number then it cant have a new kennel name added or removed ,aslan said:sorry, I'm a bit lost, it's a bit hard to keep up lately.
Leo is a Harry son?
He was owned by Dunaruna knls before you, Helen?
You can actually remove parts of a dog's name in the UK? We are not allowed to do that here. We can't even have our own kennel name added on to the dog's name in the first place
Yep and if you have a kennel name removed from the end, you cannot add another one which he hasn't got another one now!JAX said:Thats right Lana  previously owned by Mark Burton . You don't have to register your pups with your kennel name if you don't want to.aslan said:I've been thinking about this naming thing - can anyone tell me then how the following came to be ...?~JO~ said:Yep and if you have a kennel name removed from the end, you cannot add another one which he hasn't got another one now!JAX said:Thats right Lana  previously owned by Mark Burton . Nutshell and Nutbar of Nevedith were bred by Mr & Mrs Barker whose kennel name I believe was Chilka. Nutshell and Nutbar have a sibling called Chilka Gallant Lad. How is it that the breeder did not have their kennel names attached to Nutshell and Nutbar? Why were they not Chilka Nutshell of Nevedith/Chilka Nutbar of Nevedith.
Same goes for Nuts in May of Nevedith. Bred by Mrs J Dolly Bradshaw - has a sibling called Pardee De-Niro. Why was she not Pardee Nuts in May of Nevedith?
Were the breeders' kennel names removed by Nevedith?
Did the breeders not register their kennel name with the pups who were for Nevedith? That is allowed????
I just can't seem to get my head around that the breeders' names are not on those dogs.
but why would you want to do that if the pups were going to be shown? I can understand if being placed in a pet home.~JO~ said:You don't have to register your pups with your kennel name if you don't want to.aslan said:I've been thinking about this naming thing - can anyone tell me then how the following came to be ...?~JO~ said:Yep and if you have a kennel name removed from the end, you cannot add another one which he hasn't got another one now!JAX said:Thats right Lana  previously owned by Mark Burton . So you could register one pup as 'nuts in may' but the rest of the litter with your kennel name and their name.
