It will take more than these photos to convince me that a dogs foot can bend that far back without any injury occuring. Please don't think I'm in argumentative mood because I'm not

No I know that Geoff, I was just posting them for Wendy (and because I find them fascinating) no argument here :)

I wonder if it only happens on the bends or sand ..or if we can find any pics on the straights the same

Dee hunting through our pics now

Hazel as just told me to go and have a fag, because she says I know it all :D thats F hall  I'm sure you will all apologize to me when we get to the bottom of this :p my nick name down the pit was smart arse :- "

Just a thought, if the foot bends this much then surely an imprint would be left on the sand. In all the years I've walked on tracks I've never noticed any ;)

ah fletch are you even down now comparing paws prints ?

Jac 20lb bitch is mine, thing is we never notice this as we r not really looking at there feet when they r running, if it wasnt for your brill pics i would never had noticed this, thanks once again jac sue

This could have summit to do with the old school of hare men,who used to like a dog with well laid back pasterns,as apposed to me ,and quite a few others liking a good straight leg on a dog.Although i did like to see a pastern that we call well sprung.Think about it.If the pastern is already well laid back, then it doesnt need to stretch as far back,to reach this angle, which could be the reason for less injuries when this happens. And could have summit to do with what the old school of thought was, regarding well laid back pasterns.Just a thought. ...Billy...
