It takes true insight to recognize 'that look' and true love to act on it.

So very sorry John. I only know you and your dogs from on here but know what a wonderful partnership you had.

Sitting here crying and I'm sure many more tears from your friends have fallen for you as well.

So sorry for your loss

RIP Storm

hi there, im vicky one of the nurses who looked after storm regularly all the way throughout his treatent up at gortlands, i just wanted to let u know that it was always a pleasure looking after the big guy, i always looked forward to him coming in, and we were all very upset in gortlands today, i started in the afternoon and anxiously asked if anyone had heard how his scans had gone and they told me the news, i was very upset. well i just wanted to let you know, mr.humphries that im going to miss storm, he was a wonderful dog with an owner who loved him very very much.

oh no, so sorry to hear about your Boy,

that quote is so true, you did the best for him while he was alive and when he needed it most, what a legendary boy, RIP Stormy, running free now o:)

So very sorry for your loss. It will take time for you to recover - your heart will always remember - his spirit will be around you constantly.

Brave Storm enjoy yourself - you can run with the wind - free of pain for eternity.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? For me the poems on the posts from Alfyn and Kris say it all. I'm so sorry for your loss, you are right in what you said about 'the look', I was brought up with animals, farmer's daughter, and be it a dog, cat, horse you, as their best friend, just know when they give you that look that the time has come. Doesn't make it any easier for you though so I'm sending you huge hugs, thoughts and prayers, it takes a brave person to make the final decision. :huggles:
