I bought the dog only four weeks ago from a breeder in Accrington. I have never owned a dog before and have two cats. I cannot devote enough time to him to give him the freedom he could have with someone who does not work full time.

I know I will become too attached to him if I keep him any longer and would prefer that he has a better life with someone else.

He will grow to around 20 inches, the same as his parents.

I haven't asked, but they probably would. However, he is now getting used to being in a house and I would prefer to find him a good home myself.

You should still let the breeder know, most responsible breeders would be a bit worried if they didnt know where thier pups had gone. Im sure they wont mind if you explain that you made a mistake.

YES I AGREE WITH KAREN, I WOULD BE VERY ANGRY IF SOMEBODY SOLD ONE OF MY PUPS WITHOUT TELLING ME, I ALWAYS PUT A CLAUSE ON THE SALE TO SAY I WILL ALWAYS TAKE BACK OR HELP WITH THE REHOMING

They may have somebody else who would have liked a pup from the litter. You could keep the dog with you until his new home comes along. Is he race or show bred?

Did you not tell the breeder that you work full-time? I do not home pups to people who work all day and have not made arrangements for puppy sitters/dog walkers etc, for this very reason. You should still tell the breeder what you are doing as he/she may be concerned - I would be

I have made arrangements for the puppy to be walked. My partner works shifts so the most the puppy is on his own is for a maximum of four hours and this is only one day per week as I have someone who takes him out for me Monday to Thursday. This means he his only on his own for two hours per day without anyone to keep him Company.

Let the breeder know, as others already said they may have people waiting for pups, and they have the right to know what is happening to the pup they bred.

hi! we are very interested in purchasing your blue male whippet puppy. We were made aware of it by the landlord of the Hare and Hounds Public House Uppermill OLDHAM. Is the puppy still for sale? if so what is the price? We have had Greyhounds as pets for many years and would like to provide a loving home for a Whippet.
