we decided to take the dogs for a mooch in the woods this morning,to let their hair down so to speak,so off we went, its about a 30 min drive from our house, well we almost got to the carpark and everything went dead on the car  so i pull into the hedge,to cut a long story short we waited a hour for the recovery to get to us which wasnt too bad i thought, and he had a look over it but couldnt get us started so we was going to be towed to our local garage, the next step was we wasnt allowed the dogs to ride with us they had to stay in the car :sweating: i wasnt too happy about this but rules where rules i was told,i did manage to presuade the guy to let oliver stay with us and thankfully he agreed to it :sweating: .

so car was lifted front end up and off we set,i was permanently watching out of the back window to see they was ok in the car,to my shock they was all howling their heads off calling for us it made my heart sink that they couldnt be with us,we went through otley which is a small village with 5 dogs howling everyone looked as we passed them. :- "

i was pleased when we got to the garage so i could get to my babies again :huggles:

what a day glad i wasnt on my own this time :sweating:

its nice to be back home surrounded be my dogs, god i love each and every one of them like crazy :huggles:

Hi

This happened to us last year as we were on our way to see Megan who we eventually brought.

Our rescue guy was a real ass and would not us take our jack russell in the cab. We kicked up stink as there was no way she was staying in the car alone. It was really hot day and she would of got her self worked up. In the end the company said someone could stay in the car with her so hubby got in and came home on the back of the pickup. Made it worse because the first guy that came out took us along with dog to the nearest big garage to wait for the main agents to bring us home it was in the opposite direction and added half a hour on to the journey.

So if it does happen to anyone say you will sit in the car with the dogs. I wish we had all sat in the car instead of having to put up with the awfull guy and his stupid comments all the way home.

its awful isnt i,least mine had the company of each other, and thats another thing that made it worse was the heat inside the car,we managed to get the driver side window open 2in without closing, because they all usually close when you lock the doors, which we had to do because its a c8 and theres buttons inside that open the side doors, but at least i could see them and hear them too,the bloke was quite nice and he kept offering to stop so i could check them, but i refuse as that would have made them worse i think, also i just wanted to get to the garage without delay, he did say he had a lurcher himself so we had something to talk about.

I shouldn't laugh but i can just picture them all in the car howling.......

im gald you all got home safely

the next step was we wasnt allowed the dogs to ride with us they had to stay in the car
Your lucky, I heard that 1 of the very well known companys wont tow the car (or lift onto a transporter) if there are dogs ect in the vehicle.

see you Sunday hope all goes well.
