If you can't make the weigh in before 12pm please phone beforehand of any reasonable delay. When entries are taken dogs are weighed and some may be measured. People attending late cause problems especially if the racing card is already written out or if their dog needs weighing / measuring. Not being awkward just trying to explain why it makes it awkward for us taking entries and we have to be fair to everyone. :thumbsup:

Ah I see, didnt realise you measured the lurchers :unsure: , as last time I came you only were only doing weighings :thumbsup:

We definately have had a measuring stick for lurchers in the past, we've also had a number of events accomodating lurchers as extra classes over the years so it's reasonable that not every dog has been measured accurately during the chaos of a weigh in which is why I said maybe measured. (Let's face it, for some there simply is no need to) Sunday maybe just as chaotic but at least if people make the effort to be on time it gives the organisers some chance to be organised. Furthermore, if anyone wants to offer help to ensure everything is done perfectly then their efforts will be appreciated. :thumbsup:
 
Some light showers on the forecast today, Tomorrow, dry with some cloud. :thumbsup:

Ran the greyhound last night at Wessy, track looked good. :thumbsup:
 
A good days racing today at Westhoughton with a big crowd of spectators. The weather although cold stayed dry all day.

Well done to final winners Twisted Sister, Classic Rock, Mule skinner, Mad Jack, Bally So, Andy, Shareef, Deadly Cocktail, Zeebs & Misty.

Unfortunately the day was marred by the bad injury of George's promising youngster Ginger Gud, racers donated £162.79 towards his veterinary treatment. It's nice that in this sport people all muck in to help their friends at times like this. It goes without saying that we all wish George & Gud the very best of luck.

Thanks to all the workers who pulled off a great day.

a good day at wessy sad though that Georges dog was seriously injured fingers crossed he will make a good recovery know he will get best tratment from George and Edith

Sorry to read about Gud,George.All the very best of :luck: with his recovery.
