The By The Way Straights Trophy is currently with Marillamite winner of the Mr Benn Yearlings :thumbsup:

The By The Way Bends Trophy I cannot account for (as I'm sure you'll understand why when I explain)

2005 was the Rossgo yearling scratch trophy - won by By The Way.

In 2006 Angel Of The North won the yearling Scratch Trophy. The owner left racing according to sources.

In 2007 I do not know whether the By The Way trophy came into existance at this point as a replacement for the Rossgo trophy? To add further confusion Linda commented that she'd not received the Yearling Scratch I'll Be Back trophy won by Angel Of the North according to posts on here.

However in 2007 no yearling scratch was run anyway. ?? I'll Be Back and By The Way Trophies received or not?

In 2008 it was won by Quicksilver. Because of previous history I do not know if he received this trophy - I suspect not.

In 2009 Mr Solo won the Yearling scratch he received no trophy.

I took over from Linda Broom in late 2008 as North West BWRA secretary. I would hope she can enlighten you as to the location of the trophy. I recall her saying she was starting to keep a log of the location of trophies with the NNWRF so maybe she kept a log for the Bend Bonanza too?

it ws angel of the north that won the by the way i sponsord it after jim won it the 1st time , i herd angel of the north also past away young but im sure i replaced it again

Spoke to Rod, it's now drizzling at the track, hare been round loads & no problems there so racing is on.

The only thing i can say now is it's entirely upto the individual if they choose to travel - obviously the track will be wet.
