Would like to add my congratulations to Albert and Greta like Joyce said he is doing you proud --- there is no other couple racing that deserve success as much ----

hope he takes you on to even greater accolades over the next twelve months.

sorry i am no longer there to see him run --but maybe in the future !!

Well done everyone, special congrats to Keith and his two homebred dogs (Just Friends x Mebs Rosie); Anagram Supreme Yearling & Just Paddy Yearling Scratch Winner, Darren and his on form Mule Skinner 40lb winner & Mick's Guess What Veteran Winner.

Race of the day was the Supreme Scratch with On the Ball (fastest time winner) & Mule Skinner neck & neck all the way down, going to a photo.

Thanks once again to Rod & Louise, another open they've pulled off in horrendous weather conditions & all the volunteers; Fiona (gate), Tommy (clock), Darren & Mick (trip), Mark (tannoy), Tony, Keith & George (traps), Linda (raffle) and Jacqui for organising the open and taking pic's all day.

Even in heavy going there were some fast times all day.

Thanks for all the weather updates coming up yesterday, and for putting on a good meeting! Really enjoyed myself :))

You get so much more than just racing in this sport...Dogs, Friends, Pies n Mushy Peas, (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) could have even bagged myself a boyfriend at presentation (w00t) , luckily I'm spoken for! (w00t)

And then dear old Rick said I should put my dog in the Lurcher race, sound advice I'm sure (w00t) So as promised Rick... here's the number you wanted: Alcoholics Anonymous National Helpline: 0845 769 7555 ;) (w00t)

great day well done all those who braved the weather some great racing and well done the N/W committee for all youe hard work its a shame the same old problem of trophies not being returned puts a downer on any presentation for the organisers

clubs and organisations cannot afford to keep replacing trophies other racers have been good enough to donate trophies that you were happy to take home so please do the decent thing and return them.

BWRA N/W BEND BONANZA (trying to help Jac track these down)

Just the above now and the 4 bend SABRE TROPHY (returned by the last winner but seems to have gone missing after last years presentation when the race wasn't run - maybe someone picked it up by mistake or took it to keep safe for the following year???)

The ROSSGO TROPHY is a Silver Cup definitely given to the first years winner of the Veteran Scratch in 2005 and later replaced.

The SHIRKAR MISTER MAN pedigree trophy (don't know yet what it looks like) was won the first years by Rolling Thunder then Reason to Believe and later replaced.

The BY THE WAY trophy was a replacement for the Yearling Scratch as Craig as said (don't know yet what it looks like) - don't think this ever came back after Angel of the North, i remember you chasing it up Lynda and getting no joy.

Photos are just being uploaded, sorry about the delay. Got a PC being overhauled and I'm having to use another one which doesn't have my photo editing software.

Thanks to all those who supported our open. The weather conditions were awful across the country but I was impressed by those who travelled so far to race. I hope you all had a safe journey home.

Huge thanks to the team at Westhoughton WRC, Vicky, Linda and Fiona all getting stuck in to help with entries and all the formalities and relaying info back to me as the day went on. Mark and Tommy in the box, Tony, Keith and George at the traps and Mick and Darren on the trip.

Congratulations to all the winners and racers, some excellent racing and a thoroughly enjoyable open.

Album can be viewed here now> BWRA Bend Bonanza 2010

I'll upload them individually sometime tomorrow
