i agree john if kingswinford is'nt going to be ready let the members decide.

well if it comes down to that john i think kirkcaldy would be a good place to have them

Your better off E-mailing the B.W.R.A from there web site they usually don't answer questions asked on here.

I agree if it's not on at Kingswinford then the members should get a say.

i think swallows nest would be a good place to hold the straight champs since it is in the middle of the country 8)

read down lol

yes but dont u think the members from the south are going to say a track from the south and the members from the north a track from the north and the midlands a track bang in the middle lol at the end of the day the commitee might have to make the desision they thinks best but then again people who are willing to travel may go for the track they think is best :)

personally i think swallows nest bang middle for the southerners and northerners (inc scotland) can travel

the north east members were asked by the north east rep if we had any suggestions and as we heard that swallownest was available we have all opted for there as its the middle of the country 4 those from down south and those from up scotland. hope it gets sorted out soon as its not long until the champs.

i hope its at swallows nest enjoy it last time good facilities & club on site. And it will be good for our scotish members traveling aswell  :)

Think its about time its changed every year Devon one year, Midlands the next then Scot the next fare on everyone and if people won't travel then thats there fault people from Scot have to do it every year.

I agree with the changing of this venue yearly and maybe in the future the members will have what they would like, Manton members were informed of this today and members were also asked if we minded racing at a peddy track situated at this side of Worcester ..as far as we are concerned any track which will host this event will be ok

From what i have gathered the N/yrks region prefer Swallownest. It is nearer the middle of the country & it gives the Scottish members a fairer crack of the whip.

Doreen spent hours ringing every region secretary and as many reps as she could asking them to get feed back fron there members and to get there wishes put in writing and sent to her ASAP. So if you have not heard from your region yet get in touch with any ideas you have that could help.

Venues ruled out that I know of are

Worc.

Thurruck

Devon

Ideas so far to be put forward that I know of

Moreton in marsh , a ped club about 14 miles from Worc

Swollowsnest

Old Hall ... if 2 good teams of workers was put together one for the bitches , another for the dogs. Extra printers etc. Both events run on the same day as Oldhall have two tracks, this is how it was done years ago with alot more dogs. but no caravans. so anyone travelling and wanting to camp would need to book into a camp site. Logistocally it can be done.

Get your ideas to your region secretary as soon as you can.

I think given the options that we're offered & how late in the day it is it'll have to be Swallownest.

what bout a.t miners vicky would u not hold it for 1 year as your club is more then capable and have the facilities

It's not impossible but it's been turned down by the BWRA once before for being too far North and as we've not moved since it's pointless us offering. :*

think running dog's and bitch's on 1 day is very good idea but can't see it working, even with the works, you would need 2 set's of block traps, 2 photo finish and for racer's who have dogs and bitch's, it would be a nightmare, its hard sorting x heats when there are just dog or bitch's, don't think it would work,

the thing you should all be thinking about is the football season starts in Aug, will the track at swallownest be alright to race on, when football's playing on it, ????

hope it get sorted and we get a good track, could the bwra not ask Asfordby if they will take the champs over 2 day with no camping and let member find there camping on site's around the area just for this year, i'm sure this would be better than keep moving traps up and down the country, good luck to the bwra hope they get it sorted :luck:

What a shame the track at kingwinsford was ruined after all the hard work Kevin & Georgina put it i know it was coming along very nice... well done you two

Lets hope a alternative track and camping facilities are found, as i know we all look forward to this weekend event...

If the weekend event was to held over 2 days without camping, it could be held at almost any track in the country, i am sure people could find campsite nearby if they want to camp

I can say swallowsnest was viewed yesterday and is in good condition

Good luck to the BWRA committee on finding the right venue

dogs and bitches on the same day use too work before when we raced at

measham [showing my age] but then we had regionals ,and the programes where already sorted out when you got there and everything was already sorted

out i think to weigh the dogs and bitches on the same day and get the programes printed and get everthing to run smoothly would be pushing it but if its one optune that we might have to take don,t rule it out and give the commitee the chance
