We've had two/three little acccidents with Tina peeing on the carpet in the hallway - usually because we haven't read the signals correctly and the poor girl has obviously burst :( So now I'm taking her out every three hours or so for a quick 'pee walk'

But just in case we have any more accidents can any of you recommend something to spray on the carpet or use to clean it which won't have her going back to the same place (which she hasn't done so far - I think it was just because she was still a touch groggy from her op on Wednesday). I've just been washing the area with hot water with a touch of washing up liquid (Fairy pink petals :b ) but I know about the not using stuff with ammonia in which will just attract them to the same spot even more.

I'd rather ask you guys, who know about dogs and will have actually tried the stuff, rather than the woman in our pet shop because, quite frankly, she knows bu**r all :- "

we've got a vax, its good but its the cheepest one so it doesnt brush the carpet just wets and sooks, and its huge

but highly recomended for spills,

if i ever got another though think i would ither go for the hand held one or if i had room the dearer on the has a rolling brush

Simple solution is really good, you can buy it in pets at Home

A weak solution of bio washing liquid is good for carpets, the enzymes get rid of the smell very effectively. On hard floors diluted white vinegar works well.

The biological washing liquid/powder I too have found to be the most effective. Make up a strongish solution, well-wet it and than leave it for 10-15 mins for the bio bits to work on the pee and then rinse off. If you take it off too quickly the odour will still be in the carpet.

I also use this outside occasionally to eliminate urine odours - very effective.
