I'd be happy paying a surcharge for credit card it it was the same amount as the retailer has to pay the credit card company. Particularly small businesses, which struggle enough to survive as it is. They probably have to fork out to buy the card reader too.

In the UK it is not illegal for businesses to refuse cash as payment and, in the same breath, it’s not illegal for them to refuse card payments, either.

Just as they have a choice, so do I and I refuse to be told that I cannot use a method of payment that I have used all my life.
