Celtic Breeze (Fenny) came to us from a litter by Sharon Ireland's WCRCh. Amigo

Zephyr and Steve Fearon's WCRCh. Steve's Boy.

She was our fist racing-bred whippet which made her training a learning process for us as much as her.

She had reasonable success in her racing career, achieving quite a few 2nd., 3rd. and 4th. places in finals. Almost at the end of her racing she surprised everyone, not least us, by winning her weight group final at a Newmarket Open. She will no doubt be remembered more clearly for the amount of noise she made at the traps before running !

We retired her at 5yrs. old due to injury and Fenny became house-mum to our other boys. She enjoyed her retirement, always ready for a game or a walk. She was a bit of a sun-fiend and loved to spend Summer days basking in a soft bed on the patio.

With age she became quite frail, but still very alert. Last weekend she had a mini-stroke which resulted in a fall and injury to her leg. She would not have been strong enough to recover and we had to make the decision to let her go.

We shall always remember her as a happy, vibrant little soul.

We shall miss you always, but go in peace with all our love.

Chris and Len. xx
