im copying this story out of my local paper the st helens reporter.theres a picture of a little mongrel bitch lying dead next to her empty food bowl.a bag of dog food has been left callously out of her reach. :rant: 18 year old stephanie donegan had only been in charge of cody for a few months after she moved out of her parents plush house in burtonwood,when rspca officers discoverd codys body in donegans vincent street flat alerted by her concerned landlord.she appeared before st helens magistrates last wednesday charged with causing unneccessary suffering,she pleaded guilty as charged.amazingly she told magistrates she was AN ANIMAL LOVER :rant: and blamed codys death on the burden of moving out of her parents home.codys body was found on may 18.her body was emaciated and she was lying in a pool of her own faeces.the rspca officer said the dog had been through at least a 6 to 8 week period of intense suffering. 
she was next to two empty dog bowls and yet there was a bag of dog food on the work surfaces but cody couldnt reach it.rspca were alerted to the case by neighbours who had seen cody looking out of the window and felt the dogs appearance was a cause for concern.several visits by rspca proved unsuccessful but they finally managed to see donegan on may 12th,she told them the dog was fine and there was nothing to worry about.donegan who works at the local carphone warehouse as a broadband advisor was fined 750 pounds, made to pay 500 pounds costs and is banned from keeping an animal for 5 years.she has since moved back with her parents to cambourne road burtonwood. :rant: :rant: :rant: R.I.P. little cody.
