Will this come back to bite the new fed Committee on their Bums?

I could not believe what i saw today and i am not the only one !

It was like Smithy looking over a wall in a comic book blowing his whistle as hard as he could ---

Whilst a Committee person ran a dog in his charge ---albeit not registered in his name--

A Man Is Judged By The Company He Keeps --

There are those who need to remember that----

beggars belief---talk about rubbing our noses in it ---Who was it said SHIT HAPPENS?

I don't mind being shit on ----but i will not have it rubbed in by anyone ---

Thieves/ cheats/fraudsters are all definite none starters ---in my book --

I am amazed that nothing has been learned by what has gone on in the past the word NO needs a little more use--

What started off doing someone a favour upset lots of members today and spoilt a days racing for many --- i for one --

many more even some on the committee ---lets hope it wont happen again--

wot happened? and has anyone got any results please?

Arrangements should have been made by the owner of the dog to pass this dog over well away from the stadium, some people will take advantage of any situation to cause trouble, and they succeeded today. A lesson has to be learned, and learned fast, not to allow these types of people to spoil our sport what so ever.

I was also concerned by some hypocrital points of view that it was ok for some who seemed consumed with outrage that a dog had been passed over to run by someone who had given monies back but say nothing and stand beside and talk and joke with those that have given nothing but promises to pay back money owed to old members, you know who you are.

On a more positive note.......

the flowers looked lovely today at Highgate! 8)

(I can photograph these- they keep still-leave the dogs to Vicky/Jacs and co.)

The weather on the way home was photogenic too! :)

hope this doesn't get out of hand it was dealt with bye the committee and myself not an enjoyable task :( the dog is now on our couch till Gaz gets her back next week my m8 gaz and bramble were tools to rub salt in an open wound today or so it seemed :( like i said it wont happen again....

I have to say how highly disappointed i was at Bruce turning up today he has had letters off the NNWRF asking him not to come to our events , yet again does his action make the NNWRF committee look bad to its membership

As far as i was aware Bramble was to be handed over to Burt to race and to be taken back home by him for Gary, Burt was only doing Gaz a favor and was put in a horrible situation by Bruce.

I would only wish that the people whom are very vocal to both committee's would go and tell Bruce themselves how they feel :- " as our hands are tied unless Bruce came into the hired stadium, without him knowing exactly how people feel about him been at events i can not see him stopping away

Personally i feel very pissed off after the amount of effort i spent finding the nice glass ware to be used for trophies and the time spent making envelopes and sorting the added prized money out prior to the open.

I do think another letter will be sent WARNING Bruce his presents at all NNWRF events is not wanted and asking him to stay well alone

I think it's extremely sad that one bloke can shit on the people he called friends so many times and think that it's ok. The fed committee dealt with bruce in the face of what must have been a crappy time. I was vocal and will remain so, to bruce's face and to whatever racing committee is running the open at the time. There was obviously so much hard work and thought gone into a days racing that was spoilt by one idiot. Gary has many friends, and it's plain today that the people who helped him out were doing it for him and not bruce.

I think the fed committee acted in the best interests of racing today, hope everyone follows suit.

and still no results?  :- "
To be fair, the idea of having an open draw is a good one, but the drawback is that you have to write so fast that the names of the dogs look like they have been written by a doctor from outer mongolia  :b So even tho I have my copy it's prob not readable :( Will show it to you tomorrow carole and see if you can guess dogs names!!

on behalf of the NNWRF committee we agree with everything that has been said about Bruce Bellwoods presence, He was asked to leave on numerous occasions, we had him removed from the car park by the stadium owners from where he then parked up on the scrap yard ground this being outside of Highgate's control there was nothing more we could do, other than looking into the possibility of taking legal action in the form of applying for an injunction against him but to be honest I don't think he is worth the time, effort and cost

He can only spoil our enjoyment if we choose to let him, i am sure he will soon get pissed off having to watch from the other side of the fence being snubbed by the people who were once his friends and aquaintances and crawl back under his rock. Please feel free to make your feelings known to him personally maybe then he will get the message sooner and realise just how much damage they have done

To answer the question regarding SPIRIT OF THE STAG being in his care yes she was for 2 weeks as a favour to Gary Farmer he took Bramble so she could be checked out by an osteopath and treated for any underlying injury Gary had asked Gaz and Dee if they would have her first but her and her litter sister don't get on so she went to Bruce's simply because in the best interest of the dog she has stayed with them before and she knows them. As Gary was unable to be at the open he made arrangements for Bert to collect Bramble from Bruce and she was to be taken back home with Bert to Gary after the racing apparently Bruce didn't hand her over the outcome being after a phone call to Gary Gaz stepped in and took Bramble off Bruce and she has been taken home with him and Dee.

There was nothing sinister or underhand in any of this other than Gary accepting the help of a friend but Bruce in his own selfish way couldn't even be a friend to a friend it seems

Thanks Gaz and Dee for stepping in and diffusing the situation
