Don't see why the draw carn't be done where the weigh-in is held. We do it at Dawdon and anyone can watch. As for having no seeding I have a extream left runner going left straight out of the boxes what happens at champs if he gets the black box. he'd hit every dog to the left of him and spoil the race because not all owners will swap.

Your dog would be thrown out for interfering Sharon

I to have a really bad right hand runner and at 16/17lb she would run over the top of any dog in her way... she has done while handicap racing before

Think when dogs are seeded you only have to watch over the race season to know who's dogs are genuine left/right runners ... on the bends i would say avit and ballyso are the worst 2 for needing the rail Ive seen for a few years

Which is always a big concern for me being the owner of Avit along with the even bigger fear that dogs could be injured.

Gary, I don't think anyone is implying that anyone performing the draw is untrustworthy but surely it's better to remove all doubt? I think recent affairs have shown that even close friends can abuse our trust, to me it makes sense to never put anyone in a position where they can take advantage or even have it implied that they're doing so.

I think the reason the subject has come into light is probably down to events held over the past few months having public draws. Some of these events were in the North West, I'm glad they was done as public draws as I wouldn't want anyone thinking my fellow club mates were doing me any favours - not that I think they would but I'm sure you can see what I mean. Folk love to gossip, why feed the fire?
