Hello,

Just wondering if the salt content in cooked ham is harmful to dog?

Confession: I had an opened pack of cooked ham being open more than the 2 days recommended I was about to put it in the bin when the dog begged me to change my mind and give the 2 slices to him instead which I did before (silly me) checking the salt content (+/- 3%) Is this too much? Should I avoid giving him cooked ham in the future?

I give my boys cooked ham...but only now and then. Yes the salt content is high but

Im sure if you are not feeding it every day and just occasionally, it shouldnt do them any harm.

I do the same with my pair.. once in a while doesn't hurt and it is a yummy treat for them
