star has this cough, where its like a cross between a couch and a sneeze, she only does it maybe once a day, for the past couple of days, but on tuesday night, i woke up cause she was making funny noises, she was being sick, just like water.

as she was totaly fine all day yesterday, bar this cough/sneeze once i havnt done anything about it, but when we came in last night i offered them a chicken wing each, and star didnt even go near it, about an hour later she was sick. this morning she has been sick again just water.

any ideas what it might be?

will the sick be unrelated to the cough/sneeze?

think im going to take her up to the vet later just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

the coughing / sneezing sounds like kennel cough but they are not usually sick as such , just bring up some bile when they cough , she could have something in her throat / nose irritating her , id pop her to the vets just to be sure , good luck :luck:

having read some of the kennel cough threads i wondered that, but she has only done it once a day, and it last like 30seconds and then shes fine, it does actualy sound like something suck now you say,

i shall take her along to the vets to get her looked at thanks

Poor little Star :(

Definitely a vet visit needed there .......... hope Ruby doesn't go down with it too :luck:

Get well soon Star :huggles: :huggles:

kennel cough can be mild , only light coughing and can sound like they are trying to dislodge something , its the sickness that dosent fit although everyone is different i guess , as i say they usually cough , retch then bring some bile up , not actually sick . good luck anyway , she will be fine :luck:

well back from the vets, and she said could be mid kennel cough and a bit gastro,

she gave her a synulox injection, zantac injection and synulox tablets, no food, till luch and only a little boiled rice/scrambled egg, if shes still being sick they want her back in, and a phone call tomorrow to say how she is. :huggles: so hopfully what ever she gave her it will work, god they dont half get you worried :sweating:

aww im sure she will be feeling a lot better soon, sending her lots of gentle :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

well i think its safe to say she is tones better :sweating:

after comming back from the vets she slept most of the day, even when we went outside so she could have a pee she wasnt playing, never sick yesterday though, she kept everything down.

but this morning she attacked ruby, attacked the cat (for a bit ham) and stole zoes comfort towel. so i think shes maybe feeling a little better lol

phoned the vet to say, and she said keep going with the tables. so big smiles all round, specialy since we had a few visitors yesterday that asked what was wrong with star as she looks very sad and down :( so she must have been feeling rotten.

thanks for all the support guys i shall be busy for the next hour or so giving her all the :huggles: you guys sent lol

Aw hun, don't painic.... Ben has just got over kennel cough.... the water like sick withhim was just a lot of spittle ... you know how you get when you cough so much you feel you are going to be sick and your mouth waters laods.

I'd ring the vet and get both girls checked out but when you make the appointment tell them you think it will be kennel cough as they will take precautions and probably (like us) tell you to wait in the car until called instead of the waiting room.

I hope the girls are ok.

Let us know how you get on.

xxxxxx

Just read above.... so glad she is ok.... what did the vet say?

:huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:
