Am i right in thinking that all dogs have to be in the venue by a certain time? and that we are not meant to leave the venue before 5? just something for those who are traveling by taxi or by local bus to find out. I think also if you are traveling by taxi double check that they will take dogs and book it NOW and very early as the traffic will be mental and taxi fairs maybe expensive.

Ok people........... CRISIS .................... Iv just phoned bannerdown benching and they have informed me that the whippet benches are 19.5" in width!!!!!!!!!!! I need a crate aaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear - I may have a problem as well in that case . I think my crate is 21" wide, and it usually fits on the bench - unless they're narrower at Crufts.

does a metal crate - 23.5" length, 16.5" width, and 19.5" height sound ok? Tara is 20" in height??? should the crate be at least as high as her?

GOOD GRIEF........ Surely the should make the benches a standerd size. My crate is 21" x 30" so it will not fit. I am not going out to buy another crate as I already have four of this size. Is there anyone we can get in touch with to ammend this ? :( Nora

Maybe that is a minimum. The metal 21.5" crates usually fit on OK.

Last year there were some benches of the normal size and some were a fair amount wider. It depends on the breeds for that area in the preciding days.

My soft cage of 21 inch wide, has fit every bench at champ shows apart from Darlington.
