I'm going to have to ask 'cause I saw this earlier in some other post somewhere else.  WHAT Cattle dog?
There was an Aussie Shepherd dog that also has some sheep herding qualification.  As far as I know Aussie Sheps are a Spanish breed that went to Oz with the Merino sheep and from there went to the US where it became the breed that it is today.  Very nice dog and deserved the win.

Me I liked the Pom best and the Aussie Shep 2nd.

Liked the pom the best, how dare you, get to bed immediately

GO BEEJAY

Fab Pom, coat to die for, spot on for movement, fab head & expression & showed his little heart out.

One of the hardest breeds to breed & takes sooo much dedication, ok not my chosen breed BUT i take my hat off to the breeders off this little chap :)

I've loved the ones that I've met. The colours in the coats are wonderful. I didn't get to see him move around the big ring but when I saw him earlier in the group I thought what expression and loved him strutting his stuff and standing four square saying bring it on. I have a soft spot for toys. Is it to do with my age I wonder. (Don't answer that anyone  ).

In the World Ob Champs (or whatever it was called). I also loved Speedy (Cairn) and that Airedale who decided not to jump the stupid jump to retrieve the dummy. See dogs with brains. Only a stupid collie would have jumped it. Why people think that because a dog does what a human tells it too it's intelligent I don't know.

A lot of toys are incredibly hard to breed & i have to say poms & Chi's must be the THE ULTIMATE HARDEST, so i take my hat off to anyone who breeds such a sound superior specimen like this.

Last year Keith at a racing venue my dogs met some furry Chi's. My whippet puppy frisked up to one of them clearly thinking lure, lure. Hmm. Got put in his place totally.

Respect to little furry dogs. They have teeth and are prepared to use 'em. I think that it was Judy who put a photo on here of a small wee furry dog racing along a track - Hinckley maybe - it was brill. Either a Pom or a German Spitz Klein. That kind of thing anyway.

poodle for me that one was stuning and under that coat is a real whicked dog I love poodles and all the respect to the owner for getting him looking so good i wouldnt have the pacians ir old poodle was just clipe short. pom second place for me he was full of cararter a real little show man

There used to be a Pom that came to our agility class. He was such a great little dog, amazing character and when he went over the jump he would flick his little bum as he went over it. It was so cute. The pom tonight was a cute little guy, when he went round the ring it was as though he owned it. I still loved the Australian Shepherd though...its a pity that just one dog has to win.

Off to bed with you now Keith before you lose those teeth again!

yeh out with Keiths teeth. :)

(w00t) Um I think.............. (w00t) (w00t) Um maybe not then. Needs a good slapping though anyway. :) Do not diss toy breeds Keith because they are very, very hard.

Plus and I am very, very slow here. 'tis old age. <huge sigh>

There is nothing wrong with Poms. Comment for Cartman :huggles: and his fellow countrymen.

It had to be the Elkhound for me - the owners live very near and are really nice people, they love their dogs, they're treat like dogs and not kept all trussed up for the next show!!

I did love the Aussie Shepherd though, then the Welsh Springer.

:D Autralian shepherd for us, for its beautiful movement, just thought it stood out to me, also liked the Pom beautiful little dog  , my friend has poms, and they are gorgeous  my third choice was the Welsh springer.

the terrier for me!! as we have a cheeky little irishxlakeland and they are so full of character.

then i loved the pom! that aussie shephard's handler was disgusting- feeding the dog from his mouth in front of loads of people after it won BIS- he was off his rocker- poor dog!!!

Autralian Shepherd for me, liked the terrier to,

why did the judge not open the mouths of the first two dogs herself but she did the others? just wondering :D

i got the feelling that she didnt feel comfortable around the aussie at all.

On a personal level I'm also horrified about dogs being trecked all over the world just to fulfill their owners egos. But then that is just me. :b

Again i agree, happens in all breeds, poor dog sent from country to country, owner to owner all to become a multi blah di blah Ch!

What about the poor dog :(

I am with you two on this one, I know my own dogs don't show as well if we stay away overnight in this country let alone abroad and why anyone wants to let a professed 'much loved and missed' dog go to other countries for 6 months/a year/couple of years and then have it back is beyond me!! The dogs I have bought in as older puppies/adults, who have come from homes were they have been treated kindly, take long enough to settle in as it is, it is such an upheaval for them.

I can only assume that these dogs that are shuffled around the world are kennel dogs and not ones who live as family pets.
