Well big congrats Louise - for a dog to come through all of that he richly deserves his win! And so do you for bringing him back to show condition.

well done Louise and Reggie    :cheers:louisetope said:Hi to everyone,
I don't talk to you guys much on this site, but read a lot! Congrats to all of you who did well at Crufts.
I had the most fantastic day 'cos my old boy Reggie won veteran dog. Just the icing on the cake for me after all he has been through. (Most know Reg's story, but if you don't, he has survived through 2 severe auto-immune attacks, one broken leg, one set of torn tendons, a horrific attack by a manic Dalmatian and has been on steroids for the last 5 years) He is my dog in a lifetime and to win that class is more like a miracle than anything else.
IF ANYBODY HAS ANY PHOTOS OF THE VETERAN DOG CLASS THEY COULD ZAP OR SEND TO ME, I WOULD BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL AND MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY FOR ANY OF THEM.
Well done again

I didn't get a photo of it, but I did get a really good view from my benching!!! It was the follow up from Gwen Hempstocks dog that made me laugh most though....sod Crufts carpets, if he can pee on it, so can I!!Liz Third said:Well done everyone who did so well. especially Cathie and Helen, and of course the wonderful Reggie, he looked so well after all he has been through. I was so busy and then tired that I never even found the k9er's and the food! I think you must all be at the beginning of the alphabet!I hope no one got a photo of Tigger's marathon pee in Open dog, honest he had been out and done it there at least three times during the day!
I personally don't think the sausages have anything to do with it!!  Reggie told me he doesn't like them that much - hmmmm, yeah right!louisetope said:I'd really like to thank everyone for their kind words.
Yes, I am exceptionally proud of Reggie and love to show off a dog who has survived two auto-immune crises, just to give hope to anyone who has a dog in a similar condition. It can be done, don't give up hope.
Thanks for the piccie of him at EAWC in 2004. He went BVIS that day, followed up by BVIS at Midland WC a couple of months later. He really has been a dog in a lifetime and shows his socks off for me. (Well, I think the sausages may have something to do with it too!)
Thank you all again
