ATTENTION : Billy, Fra, Coatsy, Stormy, Rose and anybody else that might be interested !

The Midland Lurcher Club will be holding a meet in Portlaoise on Sunday 18th May at 10.30 am. Early start because of the warm weather (Proper thinking !)

A 32 dog stake run over 275 yards. Trophies and good prize money. Consolation Racing for those beaten in the first round with prize money and trophies as well.

All entries have to be in by next Thursday as a draw will take place that evening ! €10 ENTRY FEE. Please contact me and I will forward them to the organisers.

This is a proper meet and if you want to see your dog tested then come on down ! Time Rose and Stormy got their dogs tested properly !

Please support this event, as they have ambitious plans to run a big two day meet later on in the year, where perhaps some top English dogs might travel over to compete ?

They are a grand friendly crowd that enjoy the racing and the craic and this is what all meets should strive for.

Even if you haven`t a runner, come on down for the day out, you wont be disappointed ! !

IM IN WITH BABY "CHINA BREEZE" !! WHAT A GREAT EVENT THIS COULD BE !

COME ON GUYS TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE !!

john with the "gracilis-kid" and the ninja-dog whos learning how to bark in gaelic

Frankie is the authority on this but I would say we are in with Whistler in the over 23 racing. He will come on himself and let you know!

thers no heights nic. its open to all heights of dogs competeing against eacother !

2 dogs at a time on a knock-out basis

Great stuff, keep it coming !

Ernie has no chance against the `big` dogs, but we`ll be down for the craic and maybe suprise a few in the early rounds !

Come on Rose, be sure to bring Miss Tori down and show these `cocky` lads down here a proper racer !

The only way these meets are a sucess is for new faces and dogs to turn up. These self appointed `All Ireland` titles mean for nothing unless your taking on the best and not just a few locals !

These kind of meetings will ultimatly lead to proper tiltles being contested and won !

However, if they are not supported by EVERYONE then your going to end up with the same old `stuff` dished up at Game Shows throughout the Summer !

This is `proper`Sport! If this meeting is as good as the one held last week in Tipperary, then it`s a definate step forward in Lurcher Racing in Ireland !

Keep those entries coming !

Count me in, I dont think Ill get anything without my Brindle Beauty, but Ill be there with Whistler for the craic!

That`s the spirit Fra !

Come on Rose, you`ll need to give Miss Tori a work out before Shanes Castle ?

No response from Coatsy or Billy yet ?

What about you Robert ?

good :luck: to all entering this event hope you have a great day.

If everyone rises to the challenge, this has the makings of a mighty fine competition  and as Martin says, will surely find the real winners.

What an accolade to be victorious against the best dogs on the lurcher racing scene

Good luck to those man enough to take part :luck:

ill get back to you the night martin this should be a good one

Just spoken to one of the organisers and he tells me that it`s a cracking field with plenty of grass, 400 yards in length and they will be running over 275 yards !

He`s hoping for a good turnout and support from you all !

Saluki X`s, Deerhound X`s, Whippet X`s, Collie X`s will all be on show.

All we want now is a dry, not too warm a day !

Don`t forget Entries MUST be in by Thursday as they are doing the draw that evening !
