Just before Christmas we had an enjoyable day out horse racing. Thought it would be fun to have a go at taking pics of something slightly bigger than lurchers racing

As ever Maggi, BRILLIANT pictures  Was it the Farmers Bloodhounds Point to Point @ Dunthrop ? I recognise the hunt coat worn by the huntsman I think ........worked for FBH for a few seasons and used to have to brush the coats after every hunt!

Hi Caroline,

 1st prize for hunt & location. Enjoyed taking pics of horses, slightly easier than dogs might need a wide angle lens though

Know what you mean about cleaning up after hunting, muddy jackets & horses :teehee: my lad is now retired, he's 25 years old.

Still plenty of mud with 9 lurchers running around ;)

Thanks very much...it's close to me that's why my pals were there!!

Excellent pictures ! Point-to-point is great, theres one held not far from me that i used to go to every year. I think its exciting because youre right in close to the action at various points as opposed to confined to a stand.
