sorry to hear this sad news, john was a great chap and will be missed.

R I P john.

thanks everyone for youre kind words i will pass them onto my mum and family

dont know what to say really but this was fitting

OH, DAD,IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME

AND ONCE MORE HEAR YOURE VOICE;

ID TELL YOU OUT OF ALL THE DADS

YOU WOULD STILL BE MY CHOICE

RIP DAD XXX

That made me smile and brought a tear at the same time, I'll miss his voice too not for any of the same reasons as you obviously but, when he'd shout from the car at the side of the track, say something, do his chuckle under his breath, i'd know not to follow up the conversation after that chuckle. Sadie and Kim were going over some of his tales that he's shared with us over the years too made us lol. There's one thing Chris he's left his mark :thumbsup: Thinking of you all and if there's anything we can do we’re at the end of the phone.

Dont know what to say what hasnt already been said, one of racings true characters, thinking of Joyce, Chris and the rest of the family xx Colin and Alison.

Hope you don't mind Chris,but after looking through some pics,I found this one of your Dad,and thought it so wrapped up one of the things we all remember,his sense of humour.You can imagine the dry words said before I took this pic lol

Sorry Karen i'm actually imagining the words more of what he said 'after' it was took (w00t) :))

Thanks for everyones kind words.

I will always remember the wet days waiting after weigh in, yet everyone would have a laugh and banter with my Grandad winding everyone up.

He has always been the centre of the family, he enjoyed his dog racing, pigeon racing, fishing, farming back in the day, hence we now have a family of dog trainers, Anglers, etc which shows how his influence was on everyone.

Thanks for all the great memories, you will never be forgotton.

Thanks

Anthony
