Nope - she has a perfect face - not fat at all    In fact very adorable and beautiful.
Mind you, you should hear what some people call the iggies!!  Frequently I hear "baby whippets" (my dog is two years old!).  One lady in the Post office asked if my four month tiny bitch pup was a "lurcher boy".  They've been called 'skinny chihuahuas', "them hairless things" (they both have full fur) and "awww they're too skinny"....

I actually told one guy that Zoomie was a baby kangaroo.    (w00t)

I can only imagine what the iggies are called!! I find it amazing what some people say. A lurcher tho??!

I think your iggies are absolutely to die for!

wilfred - I showed her what you all said and she feels so much better

What a daft thing to say! A FAT face!! People do say stupid things about whippets, though. "Does he eat lettuce?" was my favourite. It was asked in earnest too...

She is perfectly normal and beautiful
People say ridiculous comments about Whippets.  Holly (who is now nearly a year old) was recently mistaken for a Jack Russell

Not as strange as Chloe being mistaken for a whippet though! (w00t)

Yes forgot that one! Some idiot recently asked if my Dobermann was a Whippet too.

How stupid. Chloe is a Dachshund (w00t)

Yep, beautiful elegant Whippet face  :)

Your Puppy has a lovely whippy face......Don't know where she got FAT from????

Hmmmmm we usually just get the usual inane comments like...."why don't you feed your dog"?? or "are they supposed to be THAT skinny"??

But when we had the Harlequinn Dane it used to drive me NUTS!! Because we were constantly getting people saying "look a big Dalmation" I was sooo close to getting a tabard saying SHE IS A GREAT DANE NOT A DALMATION!!

The Basenji cause a stir too, people just don't have a clue what he is!! haha we usually get "Is that a Shar Pei puppy?" or "What sort of dog is that?"

Absolutely delightful dog. You're very proud of her obviously. The fat accuser is clearly of the type who thinks (for example) that all whippets are young greyhounds. Or how about... aren't they skinny, or why do they shiver?? We've all heard the same or similar. Congratulations on owning such a nice dog.

That women doesn't know anything about whippets! Doesn't it annoy you when you tell people youve got whippets and they reply with "those dogs are sooo skinny"

Someone once stroked my skinny lurcher & actually went.... "Uuurgh!!!! I can feel her ribs" I was a bit upset & pointed out that I couldn't see her fat collies ribs at all :- "

She avoids us now if ever I see them in the park

I love that reply (w00t)

anyway she has a very pretty puppy face, you will get used to the comments, we ususally get 'look at that dogs skinny head' :- " we just laugh as we know our dog is beautiful, but my friends who are used to our dog but not the comments, get annoyed for us......it's usually the people who've been touched by the ugly stick who make the loudest comments....no mirrors in their house then :- "
