Austin already has a snuggle bed which he loves, but he is tempted to give it a little chew if he isn't actually sleeping in it!!

So he has a different bed in the kitchen for over night.

But on the tiled floor he does feel the cold. He likes to be wrapped up so he has a duvet that we fold over him but he will need a bed for the winter (then we can put the duvet in there).

So where do you reccomend we get a nice, well padded, sturdy bed from?

Well my boys have these square which you can put pillows in and then bean bags and also the doughnut bed they share and a padded foam basket each...

Ebay have lots of different beds if that is any help

Some of Nicky's doggy PJs may help too

That looks great. But unfortunately I can't afford that much at the moment.

Our pets at home has a sale on some of their beds so we can get austin one for about £20. I was just wondering if I could get more for my money on the net.

The Anderson bed is without doubt my best ever whippet purchase!! Mine love it. They don't have one each though, they love cuddling up in it together

:huggles:

I haven't got any but i do keep looking at them :)

If you are on a budget then these are THE BEST!!!

Mega hard wearing and very warm and cosy with a fleecy blanket in them.

I have bought 4 already. My advice is to get the large size as the medium one is too small for a whippet

This one only has 20 hours to go......

:luck: :luck: Good luck! :D

We went to pets at home last night and took austin with us so we could check out the sizes of the beds they had on offer and decided not to get one as the fabric looked and felt like it would tear/rip fairly easily. So little teeth would be able to get the stuffing out fairly easily!

Jinnyfiz - that one looks great, I'll try and bid on one later! Thank you.

ive recently bought a couple of these and two little rascals that live here (no names mentioed :- " ) have managed to make tiny holes in the sides and get to all the lovely stuffing  , but the anderson beds are still going strong and the only faults been the sleeping pads covers zips have broken ;) but that could be with teeth nibbling again ;)

Was it the normal one or the fleece one?

I think Austin would try and chew the fleece one.

Is the bottom part fairly well padded and good quality, or does it get thin quite quickly?

mine are fleecy on the inside and the pads have been through the washer a few times and to be honest the padding as clumped together, suppose i could put new stuffing in cause i think the beds are worth the money in the long run

Hi got one of these for poppy the fleece one and to be honest wen it came it was loverly, not as padded as i like a bed to be and as soon as it was in the wash as trish said it clumps togeter the pad bit ,i couldnt coment on he other car fabric ones thou .

What is it with the stuffing in these beds? They always go horrible after washing.

I'm glad you think they're worth it, It's always difficult when you buy stuff off the net without seeing it (made that mistake before!).

I think we'll be buying Austin one tonight.

Mine are the normal ones - very tough wearing! Mine haven't touched them

The base cushion is separate to the bed itself and tucks soundly in under the edges.

You can remove it easily for washing.

Once again, the base cushion is very tough and mine haven't weakened at all

I did buy a medium sized fleecy inside one, but it's too small for my whips. They hang over the edge all the time and can't curl up comfortably in it.

I'll go and take some pics of the large beds I've got and post them for you :D

Ohh thank you jinnyfizz, pics would be great.

But I need to see whippets in the beds though!!

Of course! Wouldn't have it any other way :D

Just uploading to photobucket now
