URRRMMM i have to tread carefully hear in case anyone thinks im fruit loop!! :- "

I have a unique way of talking to my animals. Its a language that ive known forever i think, or as far back as i can remember, I must have 'developed' it when i was young. :b

Basically, i do their talking!! in a voice thats different to mine!!! as tho they are talking to me!!!

now im hopeing that you wont all turn your backs on me for being a total loon, but i have to say its something that works for me and my animals.!

its really hard to explain, but its a great way of having fun its a bit like someone commentating over a film that has been dubbed to make it humerous!!! yes its bizarre i know...>!!!

im going to regret this i know it!!!

your opinions please!!!

okay.... definitely a fruit loop!! :D Having said that, I talk to mine all the time and they answer!! They actually talk back and chunter all the time. Tiny likes singing songs too! (w00t)

I always talk to my boys. I suppose I mimmick there sounds and they reply. My family have always thought I was a total fruit loop as you put it.

You may well discover you part of a big group (w00t)

Oooooooooooer! This sounds awfully familiar!!! We have conversations as well, cos most of the time it is only the Whips that listen to me!!!

All our dogs have voices to fit their personality and they usually have a comment to make on most things. My boy Ollie speaks a bit like Zippy from rainbow and is usually quite rude and sarcastic. We take it a bit further and make up whole lives for them; my cat Betsy "works" at Humphries Exhaust Centre.

Hmmmm probably shouldn't have mentioned that!!

oh my god, im not letting you go...... IM NOT ON MY OWN... I KNEW IT... YIPPEEEE

You know where im comming from then?

Well i have a little black and white cat, shes a model in her spare time, when shes not sitting on the throne holding court, cos shes the queen.

I have a big ginger tom who, is also a bit like Zippy, but more like victor meldrew quite rude and calling people names all the time. He has a yellow smart car! and doesnt work!

I have a big old cat called Bill, he likes to sit near the fire with his pipe and slippers and, used to be a grandad!

My whippet, hes one on his own. A good all round citizen, who comments on what everyone is doing especially if its naughty!. He works as a librarian! extremely intelligent, but likes to be quiet all the time!

yes, all the voices are diferent, to suit their personalities..... thats it ecactly!

You obviously watched Johnny Morris as a kid!!! :D ;)

 Brilliant! And it can't just be us, there must be more loonies around!

Betsy wrecks all the cars she works on and also works part time at the pizza parlour. Polly used to work at the post office and was a drug dealer on the side. She had this great east-end accent.

Frank worked in the bell department at Halfords but slept through most of his shifts. Tim was a champion cheese maker and had a french accent....

Ollie doesn't have a job and just goes round saying "whatever" a lot like a sullen teenager, and generally being nasty to everyone.

Just waiting for more people to own up then. ;)

My cats go digging for oil and gold behind the sofa!! (w00t)

We talk to our Whippys as well in their own special talk and they do have different voices and have their own favorite sayings. Hazel is the most talkative of our lot.

I know I lost the plot years ago

Yes Guilty as charged - Of Talking to the animals too :- " - Kobi answers me too in a little low growl - its so sweet - the kids love it when he does this. Oscar dosnt answer me but loves to push you with his snout :D

Talk to the cats, and rabbits too and even the hamster  :- " Im sure someone will arrivesoon and cart us all away wearing white coats. (w00t)

(w00t) And I thought I was one short!

Our cat The Wendy Lady goes pony riding every day, and hides her little riding hat before she comes into the house, we only know her little secret because she forgets to take her breeches off every time :)

We don't know what her voice is like as she's way above speaking to any of us, especially the dogs, god forbid.

Eli is well meaning and helpful, a bit 'Tim nice but dim',

William has unfortunately taken on the persona of Scrappy Doo, totally over enthusiastic about anything and everything, & more than ready to take on anyone three times his size.....'lemme at 'em Uncle Scooby......Puppy Power!!' :clown:

This post is hilarious. (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

I'm having all sorts of personal chuckles at memories of long departed pets --unfortunately don't own one right at the mo. :(

I've always chatted away to animals. I'm certain that they understand at least 90% of it.

When I'm on a walk I'll even natter away to the sheep, cows and horses that I see. They all have their own personalities so I alter my tone, voice and 'language' to suit ... just to make sure that they can understand. (w00t)

I don't think this type of behaviour is insane at all. I think it helps keep me sane!! LOL

Yep I do it too :D Molly has a very posh voice because she acts like the queen. Lennys voice is more gruff and he swears a lot (w00t)

I hate this time of year, when its dark when we go for walkies. I never seem to notice that person on the other side of the road until its too late and they start laughing at me for talking to myself!!!
