All what we really care about is that the puppy will go to a good loving home. The Lost Dogs' Home will vaccinate, microchip and spay her before they rehome her, or release her to her original owners.Juley said:You could always go to the pound to report your lost dog............................
I guess the vet does not know us, so he thought he is doing the right thing. He did say we can put down a claim on her if the rightful owner does not come forward. I would have just liked to spare her the trauma of going to the kennels. But on the other hand, i have to ask myself how much I really want a puppy piddling all over my house. Don't I have enough on my plate in this moment trying to get the cat to become friend with the Whippets? And do i really have absolutely no other use for the couple of hundred dollars which would cost me to have this puppy vaccinated, microchipped and spayed before I re-home her?
I am not sure what is the legal position on found dogs. I have found many dogs over the years, I have always reported them to the appropriate authorities, they always insisted I take the dog to the pound, but when I say ABSOLUTELY NOT, they always backed off.
