Fab pictures - although I only live 20 minutes away and work 5 mins outside Durham I don't often get into town ...... reminded me how lovely it is there. :D

Sarah I can just imagine student life in Durham.. :thumbsup: .you see so many around...bet they have a great time there.
 
Great pictures. Isnt brill when you just see something that makes you go "WOW"... and youre lucky enuff to have your camera with you. Wether its my old age now but i seem to be "stopping in my tracks" and gaping at architecture loads now.....

what a boring twat ive turned into :blink: :thumbsup:

What a beautiful place Durham is. Cracking photo's Janis :D

We dont stop at Durham,,we are doing 70mph to get to the race track (w00t)

Might stop the next time we are down that way,,as it is beautiful :)

Loved the photo's of the birds (w00t)

I might put the photo's we took at Loch Lomand a few weeks back as some of them are beautiful also :p

I really enjoyed looking at these photos and I especially liked the ones of the gulls. Funnily enough, yesterday I was looking at the photos I took in the NE many years ago (when we stayed in St John's Chapel :- " ) and found one of me sat across the river from the Cathedral. I think we've been back once since then - time we went again I think. I've also got one of the Kilhope mine (I think) - that must be quite near you.

Thanks for posting those Gillian...I think that spot by the river in Durham must be one of the most photographed places in Britain.. :lol: :thumbsup:

I must try and get some when its all lit up at night,..tripod time I think...
 
the river is probz the best part of durham, its all roads and traffic :lol:
