I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer on the "search" thing.

Do all whippets ears end up folded prettily to the sides?

DeeDee's ears are folded over, like a Jack Russells at the moment, not whippety at all. In fact, one of our neighbours actually asked if she was a Jack Russell pup!! :blink:

I notice on a lot of people's pics on here that a lot of the puppies also have "terrier" ears. Is this something that changes? Also I've never seen DeeDee's being sticky uppy bat ears like some others I've seen, so is this something that'll happen when she's older too?

However they end up, I'm sure I wont be able to stop stroking them, they're so soft and silky! :wub:

beanies ears are the same :wub: and i hope they stay like that, but i dont think they do..Tilly had bat ears and can look quite funny at times...

Bring back soft flopy puppy ears :huggles:

Alfie had funny ears until he was about a year and his ears both stick up at times so he resembles a fox , although when they are folded down close to his head we call him "womble" as in wimbledon common.

Hello, I am a new member . I remember puppy ears too, lucky for me they turned out all right! :thumbsup: The two puppies laying down both went through all kinds of phases, mostly flopping over, but they are fine now.

Ears usually sort themselves out when they have finished teething, they do do some pretty strange things in the meantime though. Cute picture.

I think all hope is gone for Mac. Both parents have standing up ears... But then again, they run very fast! Both were very successful non-ped racers, so...

My boy has at some point in his past had his ears clipped ..the people I rehomed him from (his third home!!) said as I was leaving with him ' he's had his ears clipped so he can't be shown again' ....very odd??? I don't really understand why this was done as he left his first home (the lady that used to show him) beacuse of being badly hurt by the other dogs in the house and so he had a big scar anyway...and why would someone want him not to be shown again??
