A really enjoyable show with good ambiance and a committed committee making everything run smoothly :D - I just hope it is outside this year as the grounds are so good for showing.

What does fun obedience consist of, my Dylan might like to have a try if it's not too taxing :sweating:

Its great fun! I had a go with Monty, he spends a lot of time just standing there looking at me, so was a natural :- "

It was moslty walking by your side, turning when you turn. He was quite good at standing in one place not moving out of the box - as long as he can see his mummy :b But wasn't so good at the recall, cos he wouldn't leave my side! They had to tread on his lead, he then 'anticipated' the recall i.e. he galloped to me as soon as they let go of the lead (w00t)

yep love the eawc shows we will be there hope its a nice day so we can be outside

That sounds fine, I think we will have a little try. We once entered Sparky in a fastest re-call at a companion show. They took him to the end of the marked off lane and he had to come to me and stand in the square in front of me, they would have preferred sit but said that stand would be fine for a whippet (w00t) . He set off like the clappers, ran past me, past the judge, past Peter who was trying to pretend he wasn't with us, he ran past the 'prettiest bitch class' without a backward glance, ran round the obedience and came to sceeching halt at the burger van, he then proceeded to empty the bin. You see he's not daft, we had our dinner at the burger van and he had seen Peter throw the bits in the bin and he was certain they were really his. I 'oiked him back to the judge who stopped his watch and they gave him a booby-prize for the slowest re-call.

The obedience will be a heel on lead, recall and a stay and if you are confident a heel free!

I also forgot to mention that for the first time year we are going to have Junior Handling, 6-16years enter on the day, to be held during the lunch break. Prizes for everyone who enters and 1st-5th.
