As promised a couple of pictures taken today 26th March.
Not sure if it will work, I have had to change over to Windows 10, and nothing works the same!!
The puppies are well grown up now and are a great part of our gang.

The two puppies enjoying themselves running after some pieces of chalk and looking for more.
Some of our girls today in a lovely patch of primroses, (includes "Dainty" who is now 2 years old)

Mum "Sika" was busy digging and pulling up the grass out of sight behind my husband
Granny was also out with us but she had gone to do her own thing looking for leftover pheasants.
Yesterday was a lovely day for us all.

Oh they are having some fun alright... Some very happy faces there and why wouldn't they have?...sun is shining...good company...plenty of room to let the steam out and what a pretty place to have a breather too...wow, all those primroses!

A very sad day today
Life is sometimes too short and poor Sika who was diagnosed with cancer 2 weeks ago at the age of almost 11 years was put to sleep today.

She was suffering from pain and discomfort 2 weeks ago, a visit to the vet resulted with pain killers and antibiotics. The vet suspected cancer as she had a couple of nodules on a couple of ribs and various sized although quiet tiny lumps that were in many places. Our vet was quiet confident that this was cancer and that there would probably be as many more lumps inside that we could not see.
He did suggest to do a couple of biopsies and xrays. We decided to try the pain relief and antibiotics first an then see how things were after this treatment.
Well last weekend just 3 days after the initial treatment had finished she had a terrible time, difficulty and pain when walking and her breathing was fast, especially noticeable at rest.

She has had a happy and active life and we have had so much love and fun from her. . We decided that as she was in her later years with probably not too many more to go, why put her through operations and days of not feeling well when she could have a l-o n g peaceful sleep with no pain or discomfort ever again.

We still have her mother "Sophie"who is 13 now, and of course her two daughters "Dainty" and "VeJay", who will be 5 years tomorrow, with VeJay's daughter "Titch" who has been adopted by our adult daughter. (Titch comes to us every day while our daughter is at work).

Dear Sika we are missing you so much already. Happy Hunting.

We have just taken her to our local pets crematorium and said goodbye to her. She looked so peaceful without any pain. XX

It’s an absolute bugger which goes with the territory. You did the right thing for her out of love and she’s no longer in discomfort nor pain. What a lovely mum you are. X

It's a horrible thing to do, but we owed it to her, and to do it sooner rather than later.
We introduced the other girls to see her two at a time where she lay peacefully in the car (one of her favourite places).
It was quiet obvious that two of them understood she would never wake up again, but the others i'm not sure about. xx
