WOW you lot. That is SOME track (w00t) . If that is Wickwar, Then I am buying a house at er........ Wickwar.(Only joking, there are some on this thread that believe everything I say:D ) I have felt for a long time that this is how lure coursing/chasing, call it what you will, should be done. A challenging course and first past the post. Simple. I will be there next year and cannot wait. You good people make sure that I do not miss it. Top draw. Can you become the best lure chasing whippet in the country. Please tell me we can Hannah.

Your ever loving LAMPY :teehee: :teehee: :teehee:

The slipper in the first part in the video is Brian Pether, not sure about the chap slipping the whippets though! The whippets have had a number of meeting there, at Bob's invitation. The first one was about 9 years ago when he put on a charity meeting, with the greyhounds, for Frenchay Breast Clinic after I had finished my treatment. I have known him for years through greyhoond coursing. He very kindly used to help me with my dogs at meetings when I was in the post op. stage so that I could go and enjoy a day out He foresaw the end of live coursing and set up his track about 19 years ago. I.T.V.made a film about him and his countryside skills a few years ago. I believe he is only person licensed to catch and relocate hares, and as Hannah says, his knowledge of running and gundogs is phenominal. Like Hannah I live up the road from him, but greyhounds come for morning trials on the track as far away as Kent and Norfolk. It's a fantastic facility!

no problems lampy .it does have spectacular views from the top.it also has its own airfield if you want to come by air. (w00t)

When I saw people posting about Wickwar - I kind've assumed it was a silly way of saying Warwick
