Childminding is a proper job - and a really hard one nowadays - it will go down well on a cv - with ofsted etc and you will get good references from parents I'm sure!

Any thoughts on what?

I was working towards becoming a vicar when my head went funny - so as I can't process anything I read (except the drivel on here) that's out the window - I wonder what I'll do when I grow up...I wonder when I'll grow up...I wonder if I'll grow up...

would still like to work with kids, so maybe try and get something at oneof our local schools, problem is, everyone else wants the jobs as well, really hard to come by

i want to be able to look after my own kids in the holiday so need something term time only

They are quite sort after these jobs now - how about continuing child minding but doing NVQ in whatever they need you to do it in for Teaching assistants - you would need a placement in a school a morning a week - its a great way to get your feet under the table - takes about a year to do and you could apply for jobs whilst you do it?
