We feed Red mills. They also have raw tripe, Wagg worker mixed with a little tinned meat just for a little flavour.
BTW Red Mills do a puppy complete which we feed our puppies on it is excellent.

All this talk of Red Mills and ive never heard of it!, dont think can get it round my way. What atchully is it? Is it just like a plain mixer?

Alfynn once recommended Laughing Dog to Me and lots of people talk about the Red Mills too. Any good websites to purchase these feeds then or where do you lot get the dried foods from, Any recommendations. Is Wagg as good as these Dawn then please?

My dogs have Chicken Wings, Raw tripe, Raw meats and Mixer too. Occasionally a bit of complete Autarkey at the moment.

Red Mills is fine for pups and will save a bit of money and space if your other dogs have it.

Red Mills racer have recently changed their formula and doesn't contain the same amount of fish so dont forget to include a tin of sardines in pups diet

My OH spent a good hour with the Red Mills rep at the Blackpool Dog Show and got a good offer on racer (BOGOF), we're hoping he'll be at Leeds Dog Show as well as we will have another mouth to feed ;)

We`ve just tried ours with Wagg worker , it seems to be going down ok, amd the dogs look well on it. Not bad for £8.50 a bag . We use Red Mills too, Mark recomended it to us and when we can get it we use it. I think it`s best used when your dogs are working hard or racing , when we`ve fed it when the dogs have been resting, it seemed a little too much for them, it made the whippet bitch a bit hyper !!!

Thanks Keith, Would you not put any meat with it then?thought about changing my girls as she has james wellbeloved, and it just looks so boring, but if you meant to feed this red mills on its own aswell i guess theres no point swapping

Hi whippy, red mills is a complete food just like james wellbeloved, and shouldnt need anything added to it, if your dogs are eating well, and looking well on what you feed them then thats fine, i myself dont add anything to a complete dog food, but i do vary her diet with, pasta, tuna, scrambled egg, tripe, and she's looking great, she will eat anything put in front of her. once again i hope ive helped.

My dogs have always been fed on a complete dry food but I have always added something to it for variation a couple of times a week - eg some gravy, chicken, fish, dinner table leftovers, egg, pasta, vegies - just a little bit of something else in the bowl to give it a bit of variation and keep them keen.

Thanks guys, :D , Think i'll just stick to what they're on then as they do look fine on it, Think its just me thinking its boring... but as they say if it aint broke dont fix it! sometimes add veg or pasta so i might just vary it abit i think.

I feed complete and raw chicken wings and anything else thats going to be honest with you (w00t) , Any left overs form our dinner goes to the `gang`

I do know that feed companies say that Complete feed means just that ¬` Complete ` and to add you own bits and pieces knocks the balance of their product

My lot would be most disappionted not to receive our leftovers :- " ( even if we dont leave THAT much  )

I have to dissagree, Red Mills is better for your pups than any tinned food and mixer.
get them on raw meat & veg.

Hi mark my puppie's are due any day now what type of milk formula do you use. I give my older whippets goats milk whith their cereals every morning. They have red mills for dinner.Hope to see you at the champs we race the delters!

My pups were weaned onto Red Mills Racer .I was advised to by my local rep that it was OK to give it to them. Infact I had some skinners puppy food for them they refused to eat it .When I tried to hide it by mixing it with the Red Mills they picked out the Red Mills and left the puppy food. I also tried them on Eukanuba puppy with the same result

All my dogs are show dogs and are not to fat or thin except William my greyhound who gets very sressed and anxious so is difficult to get weight on The pups are at their first show on Sat

PMSL i took our pups to a local vet for their first jabs (not my normal greyhound vet) and he asked what they were fed on, when i told him red mills he thought they weren't getting enough protein pmsl and that i should put them on a puppy formula!

They're on red mills and i alternate it with best raw shin beef, tripe, fish, pilchards and chicken with rice / pasta added occasionally and veg. All the lot of them have been having chicken wings since 4 weeks old and now they would kill for em. Cereal or Red Mills with goats milk for brekkie
