I had some terrible thoughts tonight about my neighbours, isn't that awful? I'd have willingly watched if the Fire Brigade had to be called 'coz one of their huge rockets had gone down their chimney and set their house on fire.urchin said:Furthermore, there is the potential risk that a ban could lead to a black market in fireworks and could also encourage people to produce homemade devices
Does anyone else see the flaw in the Government's argument here?
If fireworks are restricted to organised licensed events - where on earth would it be possible to let off these illicit fireworks? It's not like you can let them off in secret is it? Presumably the police would know of any scheduled events in their area, so at the first sign of fireworks where none were expected, Rozzers could be dispatched to find the culprits.
shouldn't be herd to track down an illegal fireworks party in full swing should it?
