After last year's problem with the now outlawed really, REALLY loud ones only feet away from us, which really freaked ours out, yesterday was something of a relief. We did have a few bangers across the road which set him off shivering a bit under the duvet, but nothing apart from that. Cat isn't that bothered, just goes into alert mode as if there was another cat around, but the constant, unexpected noises set her seizures off badly again

They were going off until 2am all around here too. There is usually a later wave of them, as people come home from pubs and clubs and set them off, probably blind drunk. I know this for a fact as I once observed my next door neighbours staggering around and setting them off, completely pissed, after a party. I was just coming back from taking the dog out at midnight, and a rocket shot out horizontally, at shoulder height, through the gap between the 2 houses only seconds before I'd have been going through it.

In theory setting them off after midnight is illegal, but could you imagine the response you'd get if you actually rang the police? They'd only caution them anyway. :(

I agree to that they should only be used at organised places :b sorry i was a bit p****d off last night when i quoted BAN THEM!!!!

After seeing two of our dogs a shivering mess for the past week or so i was a little bit p****d :( also now ppl celebrate birthdays anniversarys & all manner of things with the damn things,. its not just 1 or 2 nights a year :(

Yes and did you see the news yesterday - 11 people injured at an Organised Bonfire. A Catherine wheel spun out of control into the crowd and an 11 year old boy is now in Serious Burns Unit - :( .......so if this can happen at an organised display - the mind boggles.

Lets hope he recovers fully :luck:

I just wanted to say thanks for the sock/cottonwool trick.

It worked so well!! And instantly. I don't know if it's some kind of acupressure, or it takes away enough senses to relax the dog, but Josie immediately calmed right down and went to sleep. I did it Friday night because I thought she was going to have heart failure, and then again Saturday and Sunday. It's brilliant, cheap, and involves no pharmaceuticals

 Police are bloody useless

Just been on the phone to them as right behind my back garden teenagers are setting them off. I asked nicely for them to go to the big park and let them off, but I got a load of abuse off them,,so I let rip. If I could just climb the bloody fence to get to them I would have shoved a firework up his arse :D ,, Robbie is a quivering wreck again, Gary is scared incase the house goes on fire and Im going round the bloody bend with the noise

So I say ban the bloody lot as Im well and truly pissed off now

Hi, i was just searching on google for more information on the seren-um tablets as i have just bought an outer to try out as i am thinking of selling them permanently.

Some information i can give you from the packaging and booklet inside the box is below.

A natural food supplement to calm and pacify some common behavioural problems in cats, dogs and small animals. (These tablets are just for dogs that are 30kg and over).

Contains a blend of amino acids and vitamins which help to relax your pet naturally.

Totally natural, totally safe.

Beneficial to help pets cope during unsettling periods such as fireworks, thunderstorms, car journeys and family gatherings.

Offer pet owners an alternative.

You can also visit their VERY colourful website to read much more about this.

http://www.markandchappell.com/index.html?welcome.html&2

You can also call a lo-call helpline - 0845 600 3642

I have already sold 3 boxes of these and have 2 left for anyone to try out on thsi website.

Like i said earlier the tablets are ONLY for dogs that are 30kg or over.

Uusally they retail at £15.49, but if anyone is willing to try them out for me and give me feedback on how they worked i will do them for £8.99 including postage and packaging.

If anyone would like any more information on these please PM me and i will try my best to help.

I am also a seller on ebay so if anyone wishing to buy these would feel safer going through that, that's fine.

Thanks, Mark

(w00t) My dog is only 18lbs in weight :( so he will be 8.18kg :( :(

Im really peed off with the fire works , we still have them tonight and my dogs have been peeing on the floor rather than risk going out . my lurcher tried to surf a crum off the table and a firework went off outside so he probably thought it was the table and shot off the table tipping the table over squishing hemself and my daughter between the table and my wooden desk , smashed a glass , luckily nobody got cut but it hurt my daughters arm on the desk and frightened my dog not to mentioned peed off OH who had to clean up broken glass from the carpet before one of the dogs/ kids stepped on it. whilst i was trying to console a frightened and hurt child.

the next arse that lets a firework or banger off here i will get in the car and squash the c**t like a bug maybe then bonnie will get back to normal     .
