So glad you're making good progress. I'd say most whippet pups have a mad 15 mins in the evening, doing the wall of death around the furniture, digging into sofas etc, but Sid's mad 15 mins sound like he is getting far too hyper and out of hand and generally loosing control in his 'excitement'. Having re-read your post, I agree, he's getting worked up about something and is determined to do anything to prevent you getting hold of him.

Aside from this evening fear thing, he looks a bold young fella, not at all timid. See how you get on; and if all else fails; maybe a behaviourist? Change of diet, as you're intending sounds good too.

pleased to see things are going better kepp up the good work

So pleased things are going well for Sidney. I used to be sceptical of the DAP stuff until I got the spray that you use on their bedding. I have used this now with two pups to get them used to going in the car and it's worked great.

just wondering how you/your mum is getting on with sidney now??

:huggles:

Hi Katie,

I called round this morning after taking my son to school and got lots of cuddles off Sidney. He's still apparently a bugger in the evenings but they've put a stairgate on to reduce his 'mad-ups circuit'. He has had an upset tum overnight so I walked in to find my Dad asleep on the sofa where he has spent the night looking after poor Sidders. Sidders was great this morning tho - must have been eaten something he shouldn't as he doesn't seem unwell. I sat in the living room with him and he cuddled up and fell asleep on my lap

He comes to our house nearly every day for a run around the garden with Roscoe and Grover but they are NOISY when they get together - I have to bring them in as I don't want the neighbours complaining! On the lead the three are fabulous together but in the house Sidney is a typical pup and climbs all over Roscoe. Grover usually hides under the table away from him. He's a feisty fella, tho, has no fear about tackling my two with his teeth gnashing. Mine have been polite up to now but I think what is needed are a few reprimands from the big dogs and getting put in his place a little!

We've not let him off the lead other than in the dog park as he's had a complicated start to his life and we want to make sure he's bonded with Mum and Dad first. He came on three mile walk with us a couple of days ago and was very envious of Rossy and Gro chasing through the harvested fields, but he'll get a chance soon.

I've tried to take pics of him but he's not still for long enough!
