Tink did you manage to get to your horse?

We had got one of our pups staying her owners have gone on holiday ..................on a canel boat

Wander if they've gone across any fields yet :- "

Thinking about it they went on Saturday and we've not heard anything from them since then hope they're ok as they were going across a big viaduct sometime this week

wow..... what a time!!!

well got home saftey but then started the journy to the horses,

i had to park 1mile from the stables and wade through water up to my waist (which dosnt help the fact i have cold) Luckily all our horses were fine but my friends horses were stuck in the field with water up to there shoulders!

My friends who left the stables later than me got stranded there!! the river had burst big style and a major current whipping through the streets so they had to camp out at the stables!

Hope everyone else was ok??

Bellefire - did you get to Hannah?? hope shes ok? :luck:

THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO CROSS   AT "LOW VALLEY" - SAYS IT ALL!

THE LIL RIVER IS NORMALLY ABOUT 6FT WIDE, AND ABOUT 3FT DEEP AND RUNS UNDER A LIL BRIDGE!!! BUT AS YOU CAN SEE THE WATER CAME UP AND OVER THE BRIDGE...... THE BRIDGE HAS NOW FALLEN IN!

P.S- THAT IS THE ROAD!

Been watching all this on the news and thinking about any of you living down that way. (w00t) Its been terrible and I do hope everyone is safe and well. :huggles:

Nope couldn't get to her!! :( :(

Luckily the lady who's land she is on was able to get through the water in her 12 wheeler tipper and so was able to rescue hannah and the other horses from about 3 - 4 feet of water that had flooded the stables. the field horses were ok, they had all gone to the top of the hill. so, apart from some wet feet (legs and tummys!!) they were all ok and hadn't freaked out. thank god! hopefully the water will have gone down some today so that i can get through. couldn't risk trying to go through 8 feet of water, with or without the car!

good to hear yours were all ok.

lets hope ulley dam at rotherham doesn't break. if it does, most of the area around meadowhall and the M1 (36 - 32) will be underwater!!! they have already closed the motorway there. it's been on the news that the walls have started to crack

just been on dearne fm! it sounds worrying.... and i wanted some new boots from Meadowhall too

Glad hannahs ok

still bad, although no rain today yet. forcast for rain and storms tomorrow though.

ulley dam at rotherham is still 'critical but stable' but if it goes it will wipe out half of rotherham and sheffield! meadowhall is closed possibly until thursday or friday. motorway is still closed around barnsley / rotherham / sheffield. if it rains again tonight, we've had it!!!

Thats worrying.I hope they secure the dam before the weekend :(

The M1 has re-opened :D ... I hope they sort the dam for the weekend.

Took me 4 hours to travel 4 miles on Monday evening as we did not get any warning or evacuation from central Sheffield. It was crazy, they didn't even evacuate the areas of the city who were flooded big time

The power is still very hit and miss, we have had no power from Monday until this morning at home, been warned it could go again... but at least we are not flooded

Hope those of you who are manage to stay safe :luck:

I hope for once the forecast is wrong, :luck: to all of you in those danger zones

DON'T TAKE ANY CHANCES....IT'S NOT WORTH IT

hope you're all ok

Its crazy reading this, where we are it is bright sunshine. 8)

We had a real downpour this morning for an hour, then it brightened up at lunch, and its still sunny now.

I'm not boasting, its just unbelievable how different the weather can be.

Hope it brightens up for you soon, it cant be fun. just dont pass it this way
