My mam is lucky enough this year to have 2 birds nesting in her garden.

The Blackbird has built hers in one of her hanging baskets...and the little hedge sparrow in her hedge of course... :lol: :thumbsup:

Ive managed to get a few shots of the nests ....and hopefully may be able to get some more when they hatch hopefully.

First the Blackbird with 4 eggs so far... :)

oh arent they such beatuiful coloured eggs,my daughters just moved into her house and in the conifer theres a blackbirds nest with 4 eggs :) .

lets hope they all make it into the big world :huggles:

If you google Rosehill Lodges and look at their green bit, they have a web cam in a blue tits nest, she laid 6 eggs and the chicks have just hatched!!!!!!!!!
 
Oh wow.....those Hedge Sparrow eggs are such a stunning colour.

All the nests seem to be very well hidden in my garden, but there's been a baby Robin about this afternoon. I feed Ruby outside sometimes and one [or both] parent Robins come to help themselves to whatever's going. So far this week they've had, minced lamb, tripe and minced beef. Plus this morning some leftover mushy peas [the blackbirds also came to share these as Ruby not fussed on mushy peas] :lol:
