I came within yards of this fella, flat out in the sun, then it got a whiff of me and off it went, with jill under control, i go to watch these fellas at play during the night, a pleasure to see

I go out with my dogs at night.

THEY come to watch me play.

I wonder if they think it's a pleasure to watch me........

we have foxes over the road from us and they come about 9pm for scraps to eat,we always manage to have something for them

There are loads round here too. This area, pre-ban, was never hunted by local foxhounds as we have the east coast railway line running through the middle to the east of the A1. But I have never seen so many foxes as I have recently, my mum lives nearby in a row of terraced bungalows and the foxes are regularly in the gardens. Sadly it means more killed on the roads.

Considering the time of year, although the weather has been mild, the big dog fox I saw the other day was in amazing condition - fat as a seal! I suspect they are being fed but that, in itself, brings it's own problems as the natural dispersal of litters of cubs does not happen if there is a plentiful food source.

They are great to watch though. :)

Sorry just re-read that and it sounds like a criticism of the previous post which was not intended at all.

Hey, pmsl here, i will take you to places no man has ever ,or ever likely to, taken you before, waa heyyyyyyyyyyy

Hey steady Keithy, people will get the wrong idea!! Have you got some tights or long johns yet? :D

PMSL this will get people thinking i'm some sort of perv!! Not at all I just like to keep warm!

Wish I lived closer, you seem to have such fun. The area I live in most owners of running dogs are not interested in having permission to work them and those I have spoken to take an unhealthy interest in my dog which worries me a bit. I wanted a whippet from being a teenager (family friend had 2), I've no real experience of having a 'working' whippet, lamping etc, although I have a halogen torch which, when I can't sleep and go out with Rifle at sparrow f**t am seems to have the desired effect!! Would love to have been able to train him properly though, I'm afraid that what he kills he eats!!

 Your photos of Jill always make me smile.
