But I'm going to check on the map before I leave to see if there is a more direct route.

From experience of trying to get to previous venues we didn't know the way to, I'd say it's the last mile and half that takes the longest :- " :b  See you there, eventually, in time for tea -_-

So looking forward to meeting you all...shall I tell Lloyd to bring his camera?

Really looking forward to meeting you all and getting some advice about tilly things :- "

We are not gonna be there until 11am ish - so no lure coursing for us...... :(

Good luck to anyone that is entering their whippy :D

Little Eir  :huggles: and bouncing Archie  see you soon :D

Ive been really ill over the past 4 days, being sick and stuff :x so i was unable to go, and i really wanted to meet everyone.... :(

I will make sure i am at the next event, as long as it is local to Bristol.....

Cor me feet are killing me, just got in!

OK, so well done Hannah with Miya coming second in the showing, and also Ellie third in class........The judges obviously were not all there when it came to Archie and Leia in the lurchers (w00t) Never mind, we are all pooped out, and Archie is especially tired,,Thanks for the bio-flow Rae

Well done Gelert and Moriate for your third and fourth in the showing and for getting into the second round of the simulated coursing.

I'm particularly pleased with Nana as she was third in the straight racing from a card of 32 and after 3 heats of over 200 yards. :D

Nice to meet you Joanna and Hannah.

Yes, she did well (unlike mine, who only got slipped in the racing when the other dogs were moving as well as the lure :b ).

Yes, I was really pleased with the coursing, seeing him in action (and beating) a proper working whippet/lurcher in the first round (lovely dog; did she get anywhere in the racing, I thought I saw her win a heat?). I wasn't surprised he ended up being knocked out, those greyhound crosses just have a lot more speed, which seemed to pickup more points than tight cornering. Trouble is, they pace the lure for the faster dog so if yours gets behind it's lost at that point.

Anyway, someone had a lovely day out, lots of runs and admirers, and chips on the floor to eat: what more could a whippet ask for?

ooh, I forgot to say Gelert really enjoyed the Craft Tent too. There was a taxidermy stand right by the main entrance, the centre-piece of which was a Roe deer. Before I could stop him he was right up on the table with jaws closing around one of the legs (w00t) I managed to pull him off quite quickly, I don't think the stallholder noticed, but that could have ended up being his easiest, and most expensive catches ever :- "

(w00t) I'd have love to have seen that Elizabeth. Imagine the stall holders face if he had seenGelert attacking his stock (w00t)

I'm glad he didn't! It really was whippet Heaven though - bunnies, stoats, deer, pheasants, all lined up in a row waiting for him. Just think how much fun a whippet could have 'destuffing' that lot! :b

  had a right laugh at that Elizabeth, there was a section in the Hound tent at our local show - not that would have caused a stir. I didnt take Oscar and Kobi into that one.

Well done all of you btw

Jacob & Mia let Tinabow Hannah - they said hello on your behalf :D We were chatting to her at the Lurcher ring while you were showing Ellie. (The collars from Sprout gave us away as k9'ers!)

We nearly had a little faux pas at the rescue ferret stand....Let's just say Vader had to be removed quite quickly :b
