Well I finally admitted to myself that Frankie wasn't really too happy in our house. We've had her here for about 3 weeks & she's been putting a bit of weight on & looked 100% better than she was but she's barely ventured out of the kitchen & everytime one of the dogs barked she fled behind the freezer. She's ok close to the dogs but doesn't like them barking :( Mind you, neither do I ,wonder if I'd fit behind the freezer too  )

So on Saturday I took her up to our rehoming cattery where we were having an open day & put her on show.

And a lovely lady has fallen in love with her, she's been back twice to see her & I'm going to do a homevisit tomorrow morning. Everything sounds great, she has one older cat of her own so Frankie will get lots of attention & fuss.

I'm so glad she's getting a lovely retirement home & will miss her but know that our chaotic house wasn't right for her.

bless her she looks beautiful :huggles:

hope it works out for her julie  :luck:

Never an easy decision, but sounds like a perfect lady has fallen in love with her - hope the home visit goes well and she enjoys the company of another cat too  :luck:

Aww sorry it didnt work out at your house :huggles: ...Im sure she will get a special home...I too have a ginger cat here. :)

Frankie is going to have a brilliant new home, I did the homevisit today & if I'd had to imagine the best home for her it would have been just like this :D

The couple have no children & have an elderly 3 legged friendly male cat who gets on with other cats. They have been down to see Frankie & taken a blanket belonging to their cat so she gets used to his smell :b

They live on a cul de sac, very quiet & alltogether it's about as perfect as can be.

I'm so pleased as I was feeling very guilty for not being able to keep her here. I think she'll be a very happy girl in her lovely new home & I've been promised regular updates & photos.

Don't you just love happy endings?

That's really good news, Julie - sounds as though Frankie has found a lovely home. We used to have a ginger cat as well called Smiffy - I'm very fond of ginger cats. :D
