I would just like to echo what John Noble said with regards to turn out --

Also i admire this club for staging a two day event with a different format to the usual yard per pound meetings ----as it gave the bigger dogs more of a chance and the w/d bit on final list just was not there

How nice to see Scooby- Dont/Sunbird/Branco/Doriva all running in a final--not often all run----

The racing was great to watch and much closer finishing---WELL DONE TO ALL THOSE AT THE CLUB WHO HELPED --this club tried to cater for everyone from peds to no-limit

Not many that do

Thank you all very much makes me proud to be from the NORTH WEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steve

well done the winners special well done to john with branco  and linden with darlo delight  nice one

Well done to all the workers who made this a great weekend of racing. The track was in superb condition and everybody seemed to have a good time. There were plenty of great races on both days.

It was nice to have something different organised for the saturday evening - the food was great.

We would like to say a big thank you to Vicky & Mark for the loan of their caravan when we arrived on friday night and also Linda for the loan of a saucepan! Next time we will hopefully be more prepared when we are in the tent!

We have already decided we will be returning next year as we had such a great weekend.

Thanks again to all the workers for making the weekend possible.

Paul & Kathryn

well done all the winners

credit to vicky/mark/linda and all other workers on great weekend showing true grit in the condition from lyndon&bethany best of luck at scotland have a good rest and a few beers :luck: :luck:

It's lovely to receive such good comments about the weekend and certainly makes it all worthwhile i'm sure all the other club members are with me in saying that. Everyone worked like troopers, far too many to mention but all did our little club proud and huge thanks to the others not from our region who mucked in, it was very much appreciated and didn't go un-noticed.

Thanks to everyone for making the weekend so enjoyable & those that showed such good sportsmanship. Some fab racing and i love the Sunday open more by the year, 1/2yd /lb over 150 worked out perfect once again and it's a fitting end to see proper finals with the back dogs & lightweights all running off, they really were anyones race and all crossed within a couple of yards of each other.

One or two dogs i feel i must mention, Bagheera was a superstar all weekend, Darlo Delight was another who impressed me as did Southern Spark, looks to be following in his kennel mates footsteps. Branco - i've waited ages to see her back to form and she was fab, lastly Sunbird coming back from her pups as good as before powered up in the final to run a blinder.

great weekend apart from the bloody weather Fri/Sat but Sunday was a scorcher some brill racing over the 2 days BAGHEERA breaking track record Sat then going on to set a new one on Sunday well done all the other winners thanks to everyone who supported the opens, we never get a massive turnout which is a shame because it really is a great venue and the Gin Pit gang work their socks off to to try and get everything spot on, anyhow what was lacking in quantity it certainly wasn't in quality and all who came went home happy, some staying on for the hog roast then a drink or two then crashing in their cars and staying for the next day, there were some weary looking folk wandering around Sunday morning (w00t) think they'll come better prepared next time

The Gin Pit crew gathered round a bonfire till the early hours of Monday morning we got to chatting about the Westhoughton bend club and weve got some great ideas to mull over so watch this space so none of us got back to work till today

with the Coopers and Marchants stopping over till today then heading up to Scotland it makes a good halfway stop over for the south

Thanks to everyone who helped take the track down it was great to see racers just mucking in without being asked and really appreciated

great weekends racing

there is one complaint though

those benches could do with padded seating  :D
