It is with great sadness we are having to write this. Unfortunately George Spark passed away this morning after a short brave battle against stomach cancer. He was involved in whippet racing for many years. He will be greatly missed. You could not have wished for a better husband, father, father in law, grandad, great grandad, brother or friend. He will be greatly missed by everybody who knew him or whose lives he touched. Rest in Peace George now you are back with Billy xxx

So sad to hear this news, although those of us who knew him were fore warned, it has happened quicker than any of us expected! My sympathies go to his family, who have been so supportive during this difficult time. Rest in peace George you are now out of pain and can watch over your loved ones. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you and will not be forgotten. A true gent and sportsman! :wub:

so sorry to hear this sad news, i always remember when we went to old hall in our first few years of racing if the weather was bad george would always make the girls laugh by saying it was a lovely warm day and what was they talking about he will be very sadly missed at the club by all. i am sure that all those who knew him well will truely miss him.
