I'm afraid we think it would be wisest to cancel the open tomorrow. It seems that some of the roads around it are closed this morning and the continued rain might affect parking. We don't dare leave it any longer to make a decision. :(

I will start ringing everybody now :sweating:

Thanks for letting us know Judy - its still raining here in Chippy - think I will have to invest in wellies for my two as they hate getting their feet wet.

What a shame, was looking forward to my first visit with Lola, but hopefully will see you all at a club date instead  Hope everything starts to dry out soon - was listening to someone earlier who said this weather is due to La Nina, sister to El Nino and its set to remain until autumn??!! (w00t) Please NO!

Sorry to hear this news but was expecting the worse after the last few days - has been really bad around here - 2 roads shut coming home from work in Swindon yesterday and eventually got home after 2 and a half hours after going through a number of floods that were nearly up to the top of my car wheels :(

Will you be able to reschedule later on in the year? Hope so.

My ear hurts now from the pressure of the phone  Quite a lot of people already knew of course but I had to make sure anyway. Thanks to everyone who offered to pass the message on and for being so understanding

Hopefully we will re-schedule for later in the year. We haven't really talked about it yet but I see there's a couple of weeks in September free. I need time to recover from this one first before I start all over again though. It will be the third Gloucester open I've organised this year :sweating:

I think I've just managed to get hold of the last few people now so I'm off for a stiff drink and to get Nigel to eat all the cheques

Well done Judy

It really is such a shame, especially with all of the arrangements made. It is strange how we had that very mild, dry, winter and now all this rain. Nature does have a very funny way of sorting herself out. Enjoy your drink
