Hi All,

this well be the 3rd time in going to cruft, but the 2nd crufts to buy things. :))

Does anyone know where the best places to go are for buying for whippets ie coats and the like?, As last year i spent the whole day walikng around crufts and found out when i got home that i missed lots of whippety stalls like JR. o:)

This year im getting the guide is i can find my way round, but would like to know where the best places to go are?. ;)

Whippet rescue is alway's in the same hall as the Whippet's ........This is the best place IMHO to buy coats  ..........Canine chemist is a great place to stock up on your wormers/de-flea's etc ......as they do great deal's at Cruft's ..........As for everything else .......just look around first befor you buy as this WILL save you money in the long run  (well that is if you can remember where you last saw the "cheaper" stall lol ..........It's a great day out though :D

Thanks. I always try to buy from rescues. to help with their funds.

But with 4 or5 halls and hundreds of stalls, its a night mare.

This year when i get their im sitting down with a drink (soft) and planning were im going. ;)

(w00t) I'm tight and don't buy anything from Crufts as the prices are loaded and you can get the same quality if you look elsewhere, especially on the internet. Someone has to pay for their stand fees!

When I have been there last thing on the last day, as I record interviews for our local radio, then I go round whilst they're packing up and the deals are really really great, they'll practically give it away cos they just want to go home!

Just can't understand why I don't have loads of cash, with an attitude like that! :- "

Ouch that hurts. We don't load our prices they are the same as our shop. I spend absolutely hours trying to do deals with suppliers to get specials for Crufts and this year I've done really well. Of course we have to recoup our stand fees but only in the same way we have to recoup our rent, business rates etc on a day-to -day- basis and we don't load our prices at home and we don't do it at shows either. We also have to compete with the manufacturers of some of our figurines who can afford enormous stands and have staff in and out on a daily basis. We do the best we can and give all K9'ers 10% discount if they let us know who they are. Now I'm off to open the shop, it's Valentine's Day but my prices are exactly the same as a normal day. !!!!!

Well said jenny - our prices aren't loaded either! The same as normal, in fact we normally always run a special offer as well and normally get special freebies to give away such as ring clips, mugs etc etc. Although this year we haven't got either, as it's been too manic as we have had a whole new computer and mail order system installed!

Of course all Dorwest registered customers get their 10% discount as well

I think it would be a good idea if all k9ers who will be selling at Crufts could let us all know just what they will be trading as - and when they know, their Hall no. and stand no.

I always try and buy from local shops, so at Crufts, it would be nice to support k9ers. Of course, JR always get the bulk of any money I have (Not that there is much of it!!)

Fab idea Jools.

It would be easier to find all on the day. :- "

Are you going on hound day? If so it'll be obvious where the whippet rings are - but if not then it won't be so obvious. Whippet Rescue and Venture coats share a stand to the left of the rings in Hall 4. Hope this helps.

great idea for you K9 traders to let us K9 buyers know who and where you are - especially if you are doing 'mates rates'

my top tip for shoppers is to write down the stall name and number if you see something you like but want to shop around a bit first - I cannot believe the number of times I have walked around the same bloody hall looking for something I saw earlier, only to find it somewhere totally different to where I was looking, and to also find that I have run out of money

oh yeah, measure your dog from head to toe, top to bottom and all around - very frustrating if you find the coat or collar of your dreams, to find that it don't fit when you get home

have fun, take some lunch and loads of cash :D

Last year i took a large shopping list with me and almost stuck to it :- "

This year i'll do the same but with more money :- "

Diffently take your own food and drink ;)

I'v already started planning were to go from all of you. So we may very well meet. ;)

(do we need to tell you if we are k9ers)
