We are going to choose our puppy tomorrow - very exciting!

We already have 2 whippies - 4yo and 11 yo.

There are 2 puppies to choose from but I think that I will have to let the puppy choose us otherwise we could come home with 2 pups!

Will try to post photos (Learner poster here)

Love the site

Hi welcome to k9 ..... Nothing nicer than getting another Whippet pup is there :D ...... :luck: in choosing between 2

Guess that's why they are called 'chippies' - you can't just have one!

Our older whippy is not up to playing much anymore - mainly does 'couch work' so we thought we had room for a pup. Nice to have a young dog coming on and learning the ropes from the older dogs I think. Our 4yo Rosie is my totally devoted PA but still a happy extrovert and the only whippet that I have ever had that always comes when called - doesn't develop deafness when a bunny beckons. I am hoping that she will be a good role model for the pup. We already have a name for the pup so it is pretty much a done deal - especially once we see them.

But what if they BOTH choose you

Exciting time, look forward to seeing the chosen/choosing pup/s :huggles:

Dunno what to do if they both choose us - can't afford 2 x $800 :( and there is limited doona space.

Love your photos guys - will work out how to do that sometime I guess.

Your brindle looks lovely Pauline, I feel very at home here - among whippet friends.

Strike Whippets - I see you are in the Cotswolds - lovely place - passed through briefly last year when I was in the UK for work. I'll bet your whippets have a good wardrobe ;)

Doing the photos and signature take a bit of getting used to, but if I can crack it so can you. There are some threads I think about posting pics and K9'ers will be glad to help too.

It is a great, friendly forum.

Thanks for your nice remarks about my pup Ruby. She is just 6 months old now. Maybe I'll be looking for another soon. They are addictive aren't they?

Pauline

Patience please - learning how to post pics :)

How do you choose between these two cuties?

Sorry - stoopid :(

Been a long day - need to go to bed so that I can get up early and take the whippies for a nice long walk before we go out tomorrow.

Ciao for now :)

Good luck lewington in making your choice! They both look little sweeties - I prefer the black and white one if I was PUSHED to choose (but it's just my opinion!) - look forward to seeing which one you bring home.

Both beautiful and very cute :huggles: - but it would be the Black and White one for me - but I love white on dogs!! and I already have a fairly black one!

Good luck :luck:

You guys are nice but are so not helping - I love them both already!

Will have to see which one comes when call call 'Sophie' as that is the name that we have chosen. Ultimately I guess it will be the one that jumps up and licks my son on the nose first and says "I'm coming home with YOU!"

I will post more pics tomorrow.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome strike, wilfred, janimal and maggie 217

Isn't it great that whippets not only are the best ever four legged friends and bed warmers but that they also bring us together with other whippet devotees.

welcome to k9 and what a pair of beauties   :huggles:

which one are you most drawn to??? i like them both and glad its not me having to choose :p :luck:

Black and White looks like a Sophie :- "

But there again so does the black one :- "

I don't know what you mean about us not being helpful

thanks wilfred & meddling - I also love white on my whippets, but something in the little black girls face is very appealing.

I just found out the other day that the white 'trim' on whippets is called 'irish marking' can you guys confirm this? I know thatwhen there is a lot of white they are called parti colours (or in my house partY colours!)

Oh and by the way we NEED photo's of your other Whippets too...and names...might help us to make a better decision... :teehee:
