Tanya, you poor girl :( Did Robbie trip you up? Hope you can cope OK. Sending you :huggles: and hope you have a speedy recovery.

:( Oh NO! Poor Tanya, hope you feel better soon :huggles:

its an old injury re occurring every so often , i broke my shoulder ball joint in an almost fatal fall from a horse 22 yrs ago , it resulted in intestive care and plastic surgery on my face to rebuild my nose and cheek bones, i uused my face as a brake and it didnt work (w00t) i landed on my face and r shoulder but the facial injuries and neck injuries were so bad they missed the shoulder

2 yrs later i had a fall at speed from a motorbike and went down a steep drop and the large build lad i was with landed on me (w00t) result , a clout round the head off me dad and told " i warned you about messing about on bikes" and then sodded off til my mum came home!!!

since the multiple fractures from that fall i have since been left with a non union fracture of the collar bone and my local hospital want to operate and remve the collarbone and replace with a plastic one as this just wont totally heal , i simply have no one to help enough with the kids and dogs to do that so i carry on :)

however i decicded on sat to go on a mad fairground ride , anyone who knows me knows im the biggest chicken ever when it comes to fair rides so i need to overcome a huge fear, well im proud to say i went on the oblivion ride and whilst i almost needed clean trousers , i did it !!!!! (w00t)

later in the night whilst alfie was being sick i then felt it come apart again and the old pain kicked in , so i had a long trip and a wonderful puppy to pick up , i drugged myself up and went to get him (w00t) so im having to breathe different and take many drugs but happy to say i will be going to hospial after ive fed the dogs for the night and kids are in bed , i NEED STRONG PAINKILLERS!!!!!!! (w00t)

Have no one to help enough with the kids and dogs, dont mean to be rude here, but havent you got friends and family around you, what kind of friend do you think i am to sit here and say nowt, you ever need to go into hospital my FRIEND, i will look after you kids and dogs, and im capable

Get well soon Tanya

Take care of yourself

If you lived nearer I d help out

the op they want to do will result in me being braced for 3 mths to allow healing , i ave lots of people round me who copuld help but im a fussy cow and would bother people (w00t) soc servs would send in help for thomas but on a set time thingy , which is no good if you need it there and then? im having a word with my consultant to see if just the collar bone could be done as that wouldnt take as long?

honestly im ok , ive had this for years and although yes i have daily pain ive grown to live with it without painkillers , however since early sun morn ive popped so many i feel like im rattling (w00t)

If I'm right Tanya, doesn't that have to heal with your arm stuck out sideways? Not easy to cope with kids and dogs like that :( Sorry we're too far away to have been of any help - but good luck :luck:

OUCH

hope all goes well - not easy being a patient when you are an active person. Sending good vibes - hope it heals up quickly :luck:

Tanya what are you?

If you were on oblivion you must have been at Alton Towers. Why didn't you let me know you were only about 30 minutes from us

You could have popped round for a cup of coffee

no helen it was at our annaul easter fair , the travelling one

yes june thats why i have previously refused the surgery , but after chatting to the consulatnt tonight there is about 4 options now

well ack from hospital and its good and bad news (w00t) the collarbone has gone in 3 places (w00t) so no wonder why im so sore and feel sick with the pain (w00t) but im to see the surgeon wed morn to discuss having surgery asap and which way and how , ive been given options to think about but think its now best i have it done , im an upbeat type of person prone to drama queen tendancies :- " but tonight im bloody in pain and sore and feeling sorry for myself tbh :( but i have lots of "sweeties" to help me feel happy  thank you nice doctor man :p

OUCH!! I feel that pain!! Thankfully not literally, as a veteran of a few fractures mainly horse related I always think people are a bit dismissive of collarbones. They hurt like hell because they cannot be effectively immobilised and even a cough or a sneeze causes agony.

No good wishing you a 'get well soon' because it is obviously a long standing problem. I hope the hospital can offer you something to help, probably, if it happened now, they would have plated it. Sending you :huggles: and hoping the painkillers help.

:huggles: Hope you get better soon :huggles:

Its seems really bad but she will get better!!! I know she will and i will try my best to help!!!

Hugsss :huggles:
