i was wondering how other people's dogs greet them when they have been out, when we come home Tia always brings one of her toys& carries it around making sure everyone has seen it & she makes this noise, not a growling noise its like she is talking it is so funny,

mines a whippet x and its makes this funny growl like trying to talk noise hahaha so funny

Tilly comes over all excited and wants cuddles, some times she will get a toy for me :huggles:

Bean tends to jump up and bite fingers :(

As i open the front door its hayhem in my place as they all charge to see who can get to me 1st ( who said greyhounds were graceful? ), then its a case of make of a fuss of them before doing anything else otherwise they dont stop nudging me & whinging... if i've been shopping 2 of them have an habit of diving down the bags which amuses me as queenie always pulls things out trying to decide whether theres anything for her.

The best time is in the morning when i wake up, they can hear me moving about & talking to the cats so they go berserk whinging & crying at the bottom of the stairs... i find the 2 boys are worse than the 2 girls for this though... its so lovely to wake up to the excitement, wouldnt be the same if they didnt do it..

Inca carries a toy and talks to you, sometimes it sounds like she says hello and mum

Dippy just wags her tail and sometimes picks up a toy.

Yes ... Oscar jumps up high - a little over exuberant most times  and Kobi does this very low growling noise like hes talking to you.

Its lovely to know you are missed.

Ricky does the growling noise too (w00t) (w00t)

Robbie and Gizmo just bark and jump :- " ,,,very noisey in our house

dana jumps all over me and kisses me to death for 10 mins, then we have a quiet cuddle on the bed :huggles:

Mine go dulally bonkers, it's sometimes difficult to get in the door (especially if both arms are struggling with carrier bags too) and 2 loony dogs come hurtling towards me.

Have to turn my back on both of them and enter the kitchen in reverse to keep myself and shopping in one piece. :sweating:

And why is it, when I leave them with a little treat before I go out, it's odd but sometimes they won't touch the treat until I get back home again. They sometimes greet me with it before quickly devouring it. :teehee:

my two do the same  ,get the nearest toy a piece and both talk and proudly show their toys, then they jump up at your back and stick their claws into you; ouch >_<

Mine hear the car pull up in the drive; they start to bark and then very quickly it turns into a group howling session. Bear in mind we have six dogs ranging from a Labrador, whippets to a wee Italian.. the howling covers the low and the high notes

This is what I hear when I get out of the car and it only stops when I open the door and am hit by a tornado of dogs  :p . Zinzin is the only one who tries to get inside my clothes or bags immediately - the other have very good manners and wait until I put my keys down and cuddle them :huggles:

Sienna does the roo rooing then brings me a toy, :D Spry wags her whole body and whips you to death with her tail (w00t) Kane dives at you and nearly has you on the floor :sweating: and callie she just comes nicely to greet you then wanders off to do her thing, o:)

It's mad

Out last whippet, Josh, used to do that every time. He would place it gently in front of him on the settee and it was still there when we got back and only then would he would eat it. When we give Muffin a treat before we go out he gobbles it down straight away! :clown:

Lenny runs and gets a toy and does the growling thing, Molly sort of runs over, leans on your leg and bends round with her nose touching her thigh  Then you have to scratch her where her nose is touching while she nibbles your hand!!! Very weird dog

They used to go absolutely beserk but I had to calm them down by doing that ignoring them trick. They both used to go flying round the room jumping on the sofa and bouncing off the walls but once Lenny jumped on the sofa and then launched himself at me, unfortunately splitting my lip with his claws - ouch :(

Have noticed the same here sometimes too - very strange behaviour. :clown:

Shaun bounces around and goes up on his hind legs like a horse. Nelly tries to push him out of the way and sometimes jumps up into your arms (which i quite like a lot). Bless em, and all yours too :huggles:

Tess bounces along on her back legs, flinging herself at me, and jumps into my arms if she thinks I'm in the mood. Nana wags all over and roo roo roos. Josie wags and bounces and bows and stands on her hind legs batting you with her front legs. Esme weaves in and out and in and out of your legs.

My 10 month old lurcher is a strange one. When he hears the key in the door he comes right up to the window and I have to shout to tell him to move! Then when I finally get into the kitchen he runs in between my legs so his his back end is presented as he likes to have his legs rubbed at the top!

Fred runs and plants his two front paws into the groin area, so he is springboarded back around, and then he runs back to where he started. He does this a couple of times. My OH has been floored by this a couple of times, (w00t) :b , and we now walk in sideways and stick a hip out to act as the springboard.

Stan just leaps up on two legs asking for cuddles.
